A dark, medium-bodied ale full of rich coffee and roasted barley tones. Beer AND coffee... what could be better than that?

A brilliant wine with a uncommon finesse. Beautiful texture and depth. At @David A Lentine's cellar - a thorough disgrace!!! — 8 years ago
This Turkish red wine from the Island of Tenedos is an uncommon blend of Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Rich, complex and very elegant with aromas of black fruit, tobacco and dark chocolate. Very long and rounded finish. Perfect with red meat. Highly recommended. — 9 years ago
Deep garnet color with an uncommon depth of color and aroma. On the nose, dried red flowers and forest floor. Earthy flavors with intense blackberry on a long richly tannic finish. — 9 years ago

Some mild signs of age which is not uncommon for this quality of a Bordeaux and it's 14 years old. Great nose, dark fruits, Cedar, leather. Somewhat dusty.

2nd time in with consistent accolades....juxtaposition of Syrah and Grenache is mouthwatering. Uncommon among Ca offerings — 10 years ago
Uncommon grape in California. From a favorite Carmel Valley of mine. Small production, great aromatics, minerality and long finish — 10 years ago
For the price this is a pretty great Cab Sauv. I can taste plum, black cherry, a very light oaky taste ( most likely aged in older oak barrels) I also taste a very slight hint of smokiness, and tobacco. It has subtle tannins which is uncommon for a Cab Sauv. — 11 years ago
I have always loved this rose. bought a case for the summer. great for the price with a zippy pepperiness uncommon in rose. — 8 years ago
A richness uncommon in sparkling wine. Creamy, toasty, nutty. Delicious. — 8 years ago
Cedar, loam and dark fruit. Intense fruit in the mouth, it's medium bodied, with good acidity. This is a food friendly Napa Cab, which is more and more uncommon. — 8 years ago
Verily I say, my head nearly exploded when I tasted this! Inky deep, meaty, peppery, stiff backbone like a Buckingham Palace guard, and big in all the ways that light up my palate like a First Encounter of the wine kind. Mondeuse is rarer in the US than a UFO ... and uncommon outside of the French region of Savoie. $42 at the winery. Gotta rig up a tractor beam and get me some! — 9 years ago
Sauvignon Blanc from Burgundy is definitely uncommon. This has very floral and fruity taste with a nice tart finish. — 9 years ago
Deep flavor, light tannin. Red Sonoma Cutrer uncommon in Oh. Found on clearance rack, may not find again. — 9 years ago
stunningly good. Electric acidity with a density to the fruit that's uncommon in the Jura. Mineral, fruity, and funky all in the right doses. I like this better than the trousseau in the same vintage. — 10 years ago
There is no need to taste the 2004 Barolo Romirasco, the nose alone is enough to understand that this is magnificent wine. Aromas of tar, roses, menthol, scorched earth and smoke lead to a core of dark red fruit than unfolds onto the palate with uncommon grace and elegance. As it sits in the glass the wine gradually puts on weight, filling out its considerably structured frame with notable class. — 11 years ago
2009 vintage. Very fresh and good acidity, also lacking in oily or mildly oxidized character that is not uncommon in the category. Dead ringer for membrillo (quince paste), apricot nectar, honey, orange blossom water, yellow and orange flowers, candied tangerine, blood orange, peach Jolly Rancher. Very fresh and lively style...great with cheeses. — 8 years ago
Much more balanced than many Napa Chardonnays I've had recently, in that it didn't feel like someone just vomited oak into it. Nice acidity and liveliness that has also been a bit uncommon from that area. Not overwrought. Oak isn't yet fully integrated, I should have aged it a bit more. Clean fruit that was more reminiscent of Santa Cruz Mountains Chardonnay than Napa, which is probably why the wine appealed to me. — 8 years ago
Throwing back to this bottle at Uncommon Ground, two years ago today. — 8 years ago
Black Cherry, leathery, tobacco-y nose. Smooth and drinkable with black cherry notes. Screw top bottle, uncommon in Argentina. — 8 years ago
Uncommon Nebbiolo, much Pinot Noir style, splendid wine.
Medium body with personality, tasty. — 9 years ago

Very fun and funky wine. A welcome departure from the daily California Cab. Highly extracted. Uncommon grapes, processed into wine like an Amarone. — 7 years ago
