Stags Leap Manor, as it was called in the 1920s, was known as one of the prominent country retreats in the Napa Valley at a time when resort and spa business was big. Straw yellow, with stone fruit and citrus aromas and toasty notes. On the palate melon, pineapple and pear, fresh & crisp with notes of smoky oak, a bit creamy. Lingering finish with wet stone and minerality character, well balanced, stays crisp on ending. Nice! — 7 years ago
Enjoyed our last full day at the resort, and we topped it off with another visit to Seven Glaciers. The food, the wine, the views...stellar!
What a treat to get to enjoy some of this! I believe this was a 99 pointer. Still drinking so beautifully. Tannins are well integrated and there are no hard edges here. Deep ruby in color, with sage, dried cranberry, blackberry pie. If you have any of this, don't miss this drinking window! — 8 years ago
This wine transports me to the tropics. Pineapple, banana, coconut, a little lemon on the back end to cut the sweetness. I envision myself drinking this in Costa Rica after a long day at the beach, with the sea and salt still in my hair, and the pleasant residue of slight vertigo caused by the waves. Enjoyed this Cab Sauv/Merlot blend at a Mexican dinner on the resort. We had the opportunity to try the El Cielo winery last year and while in Mexico, seems logical to try the wines of that nation. And . . . This is worth trying. — 6 years ago
My wife and I had this wine with flank steak while dining with our son and daughter in law at Lutsen Resort in northern Minnesota. A nice full bodied wine. A must have wine for our home. — 7 years ago
Enjoyed a nice glass of this in a quite beautiful glass at the Monach Beach Resort with some colleagues and clients last night. Nice and full bodied. Tastes much like Napa Cabs in a much higher price range ($35-$50+), so great value. — 8 years ago
To celebrate our 2-yr wedding anniversary while in Alaska, we had 5-course dinner at one of the premier spots in the state, which just so happened to be at our resort (at the top of the mountain). A Wine Spectator recognized restaurant with an incredible wine list!
Stark contrast between the last wine and this. Much more flint/rock, white flower, almond shavings on the nose. Higher viscosity on the palate, and it had a great texture. Lingering finish. — 8 years ago

2010 Ramey Pedregal Cabernet. Brought by S&C F for dinner at Press. Interesting to drink this after the 1990 Latour. So different, but beautiful in its own way. Beautiful fruit, but what we really commented on was the rich mouthfeel and long finish. Nice treat! — 10 years ago

Delicous with a little orange, subtle citrus and spicy taste and a long smooth finish. Rocking it at Disneyland resort! — 10 years ago

Didn't know Grgich made this late harvest wine. As a '12, you can imagine all of the flavors were full throttle...honey, caramel, lemon. Fairly light bodied, with a toasted vanilla bean finish. — 8 years ago

This is an amazing blend! Nadia from Santa Barbara Highlands and Laetitia winery. The color is dark and opaque. The bouquet is raspberry jam on buttered toast. The initial palate is so smooth. Hints of blackberry and cranberry followed by a dry oaky peppered bliss! Absolutely no acidity and not too dry! WOW... I had this at a local restaurant called The Last Resort in Athens GA! - by the glass!!!! Finally a restaurant with wine in Athens!
FANTASTIC!
