St. Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend 1964

Incredible Beauty shared by our new bud Mitch Lieberman. I could not find him on delectable to tag him on this post. Perhaps @Howard Greenfield can assist?
This Right bank blend had everything going on! It was still fresh and lively on the palate, Pronounced red fruit & a huge a depth of flavor. It was drinking like a million bucks. I'm a Huge Figeac fan and this one did not disappoint!! Thank you sir., may I have another!! Lol⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Heitz Cellar

Martha's Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 1989

Drinking very well right now! A good amount of fruit still there. The true enjoyment came from the finish that lingered on our tongues. Seems like Martha's Vineyard really does gets some great flavors from those surrounding eucalyptus trees.

At first i picked up a lot of acetyl in this relative to the other wines. After an hour that had blown off and this blossomed. Everything you hope for in Monte Bello. — 9 years ago

Domaine Jamet

Côte-Rôtie Syrah 1988

From the wine list at EMP bought by a new friend at the table next to us to go mano a mano against the 88 La Turque I shared. Slightly darker red and more pure in color. Amazing aroma that is more linear than the animalistic La La but in the same league. Hit its stride right out of the pop and pour gate. Lovely perfume with a more briary nose but speaks Cote Rotie from the get go. Perfectly integrated fruit and structure. Best Jamet I've had. Thanks to Danny for this treat. — 9 years ago

A more delicate cab. Lighter body and tannins than the usual warm climate cabs. Delicious earth-ash tones mixed with some smokiness. Cherry and other red fruit. Love SL. — 9 years ago

2011. Blanc. No one drinks enough of this. That's because there are so few things to which its a good partner, but it would be an incredible cheese-and-charcuterie wine. Broad and oily, there's just enough acid to keep you coming back for more. Sun-baked yellow orchard fruits dominate, but there's more exotic fruits too (mango and dried pineapple) yellow flowers, tons of almond husk bitterness, green olives, bay leaf, oregano, tarragon, white cheddar. Oak is assertively present but not overwhelming. Place dominates over grapes here, as it's a mix of Clairette and Grenache Blanc and a hodge-podge of other things. — 11 years ago

Just a special experience. The nose was powerful and dynamic evolving beautifully over 30 minutes. A smokey phase, a pine phase, and a strong floral phase. The palate was balanced and smooth. The fruit was dead but resembled fruit leather. Two bottles opened, one had grip left, the other didn't. #moutonrothschild #grandcruclassé #2ndgrowth #bordeaux #pauillac #1928 #ctbucklinwine — 9 years ago
