Normally I'm absolutely no fan of Bordeaux but Ponte Canet did an amazing job in 2012. So much freshness, incredible. — 8 years ago
On nose its lots of Blackberries, oak, pine woods, leathery
On palate its so delicious, long finish, soft tannins, medium acidity, its firm and silky smooth.
Lots if fruits, with touch of vanilla, creamy. Incredible complexity. I think this wine is on its peak or another 3 years to develop. Cheers everyone! — 8 months ago
Elegant and extremely perfumed, a nice juicy red fruit core featuring ripe cherries, raspberries, and strawberries, followed by dried lavender, meaty beef jus, orange peel, undergrowth, sweet tobacco, charcoal, and intense black pepper. Delicious sweet red fruit flavors on entry with some dried apricots that lead to a umami rich midpalate filled with meaty notes, iron, and a slightly saline minerality that intermingles with intense peppery notes that linger for some time. Incredible silky mouth feel on this midbodied red, very light in structure but intense in flavors. — 7 years ago
Unreal youth. This wine I had to inspect closely to believe it real. It poured like it was 5 years old. Nose opened over 3 hours, and it was truly classic. Just absolutely perfumed with black fruit and pencil lead. Finish was just laser precise. This bottle can age for another 20+ years easily, with each point being different and enjoyable. Incredible bottle. — 8 years ago
Nose has definite hint of grape medicine. Something that kinda throws me off, has a kind of artificial grape smell. It changes a ton as it is spending time in the glass. Opening up to some flowery fig stuff. Amazing how it opens up. Update after being open a day: incredible change across the board - nose is now lavender honey and a hint of toast, and the honey carries through on the tongue. It exhibits some prune characteristics. — 8 years ago

Great with our Chile Mexican dish — 5 years ago
Gorgeous! Purity, length, complexity and harmonious structure throughout. Blown away by the freshness this had, from color to fruit character to energy on the palate. Carries the vintage well, structured yet showing incredible finesse right now. I don’t drink Bordeaux often, but damn when it hits, it hits in all the right spots. This will be even better with time IMO. What a wine — 7 years ago
Wow, incredible, and still holding up after all these years. Upon opening, basically no fruit, all secondary characteristics, especially on the nose. As it opened up, some dark cherry appeared and eventually the nose and palate came together. A sensory journey 48 Years in the making and a pleasure to partake. — 7 years ago
Took an hour to open up, after that it was incredible. — 8 years ago

Always some of my absolute favorite wines. 07 Reynard is in the most perfect place, perfumed, layered and searingly intense with dark fruit, campfire smoke, olive tapenade, violets and a liquid rock minerality. The palate is simply seamless and one of the most complete Allemand wines in recent memory, with incredible complexity, definition and a saturating texture. A top notch Reynard that’s just rocking right now. — 7 months ago
