Had a bottle of this 2 years ago after it scooped the pool at the Royal Brisbane Wine Show. I can’t see why it got the accolades - an excellent Pinot Noir no doubt but not Champion Red of the Show. Colour of mid crimson with dark cherry. Initially on opening some oaky varnishy notes with stalkiness. On palate good intensity where the savouriness presides over the fruit dry cherry flavours. Will cellar. — 6 years ago
Whiskey champion. So memorable as Clau and I went here 12 years ago just to watch the temple float parade despite pouring rain. Ended up sitting on a concrete block drinking — 7 years ago

Cab Franc the middle weight champion. This is the wine is perfect when you need/want something heavier than Pinot Noir but lighter than Syrah or Cabernet Sauvignon A delicious young wine that is supposed to age well. — 8 years ago

Brought out the heavyweights for this weekend and Paradise is an undisputed champion. 💪
Picked up last year on our Willamette Valley tour and so glad we stopped to see Dan @ Utopia.
None of his wines have disappointed. 🍷

From our champion wine subscription. Nice appley flavors. Decent minerality. Had it with some soba — 5 years ago
The heavyweight 💯 point champion @ £930 defended well & drew on score as no knockout but on QPR was less favoured; that said this has a MUCH longer life ahead so is a winner there 🥇On elegance it certainly won 💥🥊
🍷 Deep ruby
👃 Elegant black berries, damp dusty cellar, liquorice, spice, leather, soft oak, mocha cherry, perfumed red flower, date & bonfire smoke
👄 Med silky smooth body of liquorice infused dark fruits w/ red cherry & mocha

Champion of the evening. Ripe and confected red fruit. If you lightly dusted a cherry with brown sugar and left it on a sunny window sill you'd have this scent. Palate is super satisfying, you get exactly what you've been promised. Lovely bright acid. Well integrated tannin. Not super heated despite the 14.5% alcohol. Great balance. I blame this wine for all the strangely confident and bizarrely worded texts I sent to many friends and old bosses at 2AM. — 6 years ago
Yeasty aroma; very much like a brioche or good challah. Fine bubbles, yeast, sweet grape must, and a barely perceptible Flint finish. Excellent! — 7 years ago
Great, smooth and tasty port. I think 85 was an amazing rating by Parker and thanks to the generosity of Dr. Perrell - who brought this from his cellar.....we tasted this after dinner. Great raiseny deliciousness. Drink me - eat dessert then hop in the sack and be the champion you know you want to be!!!! — 8 years ago

This is really good. Really good. And also it is reminiscent of recent NBA champion, Marc Gasol... — 5 years ago
