Un bon blanc pour accompagner les huîtres de la cousinade ! — 7 months ago
This out of gate shows real freshness.
Bruised apple/pear, citrus blend w/ grapefruit leading the charge, malt, ginger, graham cracker, chalky powder, limestone marl, light bread dough to baguette crust, withering yellow flowers, excellent rainfall acidity, balanced, nicely toned, elegant and smartly elegant polish that lasts a full minute and lands on soft spice - volcanics.

Pretty decent and bright — 6 months ago
Popped and poured into red Solo cups. The 2012 “Grands Terroirs” pours a straw color with a persistent mousse. On the nose, this is intensely autolytic with notes of fresh, toasted brioche, baked apple, raspberry, lemon curd and limestone minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. From magnum. Drink now through 2037. Disgorged June 2021. — 2 months ago
Gorgeously red fruited and boisterous nose. Red cherries all the way. Stunning stony aromas as well and unreal lift. Lots of red cherry skin as well. Terrific energy and chord progression fruit as well. Juicy, complex and very energetic and appears wide open at first but let’s see where air takes it. Wondeful acidify and freshness and lovely sour cherry fruit. Really fine and velvety tannins and I can’t believe how red fruited it is. Sweet and ripe tannins. Terrific inner mouth aromas with air and insane sweetness. A winner! Now with 7 hours of air it’s so stoney and classically Pommard. Palate is ample and juicy and super mineral with tangy red fruits. But man is this mineral. Like licking stones. — 2 months ago
A text book, Sevres standard of a Chablis.
Razor sharp, oyster fresh and with brilliant minerality yet also quite some breadth.
Brilliant freshness & great depth.
Packs a punch on the palate - fresh lemon juice paired with chalky minerality. The length is infinite. And the depth inspiring.
A brilliant food wine but also nice for sipping. — 5 months ago

✨ Cheers to treasures of the Côte des Blancs!
🥂 Allow me to introduce Champagne Agrapart & Fils, a fourth-generation grower-producer based in the Grand Cru village of Avize – right in the heart of the Côte des Blancs region, where Chardonnay reigns supreme.
🍾Pascal took the helm of his family’s winery in 1984 and is now joined by his son Ambroise, carrying on the family tradition of meticulous winemaking to craft exceptionally beautiful champagnes that offer an authentic sense of place.
🌿 In support of this aim, Agrapart pursues an ancient approach to farming the family’s 12 hectares of vines, in harmony with nature, according to the natural rhythms of the calendar, trading chemicals for compost, and working the land by hand.
🍇 In the winery, Pascal & Ambroise allow fermentations to happen naturally through ambient yeast found in the surrounding environment & on the surface of the grape skins. They neither fine nor filter their wines, and riddling is done by hand – a rarity in this day and age given efficiencies that can be gained through mechanization (e.g., gyropalette).
👉 Here we have Agrapart’s “Terroirs” bottling made with 100% Chardonnay from a blend of vintages and vineyard blocks from the Grand Cru villages of Avize, Cramant, Oiry, and Oger. It’s extra brut with 5 grams of sugar / liter in dosage.
😍 It is a stunning Blanc de Blancs expression giving voice to the Côte des Blancs.
👌 This wine is focused, nuanced, & elegant with perfumed aromas of lemon meringue, lemon pith, crisp apple, star fruit, white tea, blossom, oyster shell, salinity, toast, smoke, chalk, river bank, frozen pie crust, and blanched almonds.
On the palate it’s bone dry and laser focused with an electrifying acidity that is balanced by a creamy mousse and concentrated flavors consistent with the nose.
💫 Cheers to delicious wines of authenticity & soul! — a day ago
