Really loved this rose. Nice minerality balancing acidity — 3 years ago

Excellent Super Tuscan bought at the winery in Italy. — 5 years ago
Primarily Narello Mascalese. Light ruby color with garnet highlights. Lovely aromas of strawberry, minerals and copper. The palate also features strawberries, raspberries, orange and fresh herbs. Hint of Smokey tar on the finish. Medium body and tannins. Beautifully elegant and well crafted. Wonderfully consistent vintage to vintage. Thank you for opening this one, Ron B! — 2 years ago
The best limoncello. — 4 years ago
Tasted semi-blind and wrote down the same thing I did for the 2018: it smells like church! I’m trying to figure out why I wrote it, but the minerality is similar to what you smell when you enter an old white marble church. Maybe some of the florals too?

Très bon vin fruité — a year ago
Spicy and earthy. Great fruit and balance. Really coming together. — 2 years ago
Made from 50 to 100 year old vines and matured for 18 months in small and large oak vessels, of which 20% are new. Medium-ruby, the 2020 Terre Nerre Calderara Sottana is introduced by a hauntingly fragrant scent of red and black cherries, wild blackberries, Mediterranean herbs and crushed granite rock. The medium to full-bodied palate is marked by a firm tannic structure, nervy tension and wonderful fruit complexity, closing with an elegant, persistent finish. Drink now until 2040. — 3 years ago

Great cru from the Etna, great fruit, cool wine from hot area, altitude delivers the freshness, burgundy style (feels light, but has power), great combo with lamb filet from the BBQ — 4 months ago
