Just love this wine, great value, canβt get enough! Belle Pente (bell-pont') means "beautiful slope" - for their 70 acre hillside vineyard & winery site in Willamette Valley. Bright Ruby red with aromas of red fruits, herb spices and hints of blossom notes. On the palate strawberry and cherry flavors, slight sweet undertones, herb notes and smooth tannins. Well balanced on a long finish ending with mineral herb notes. Nice!! Great value. β 5 years ago
From the Langtons Outstanding category this small production wine from the Mornington Peninsula has escaped me over the years but there is no doubting its quality. I have since purchased some and will look forward to trying this after a year or two cellaring initially. Very promising. β 7 years ago
So much peat and smoke. Also more subtle grassy notes and earthy sweetness. Super light-bodied. A great Islay scotch. β 8 years ago
Nose has cherry, leather, herbaceous and spice notes. Medium plus acidity, smooth tannins, full bodied Pinot Noir. Tons of red fruit, with notes of black cherry, young strawberry. Secondary notes of oak and vanilla. Short finish, but works well as a package. Great with food cause it is after all, a Pinot Noir. High 14.5% ABV for a Pinot as well, but it opens up nicely and is not closed off. Very pleasant wine to drink! β 3 years ago
Deep ruby color. Faint hints of red and blue fruit as well as some earthiness on the nose. Maybe even a little herbaceousness. Flavors of dark cherries, blueberries, baking spices and dried herbs Very sleek tannins and nice acidity. ABV of 14.9 but it does not come across as too hot. I actually would like to try this again with a nice piece of grilled meat. β 5 years ago
Pretty bottle, beautiful wine. Slightly ripe black fruits, cedar, bacon, cocoa, green tea, and hint of vanilla. Compact but soft. Juicy finish. 518 cases made.

Light body pleasant Pinot from Willamette Valley β 7 years ago
See previous Delectable notes. Light to medium crimson in colour - a tawny rim developing. Aromas of Sous Bois, compost heap and stewed fruits. As I said in a previous note βsinewy β. Savoury red fruits and earthy. Judd vineyard seems to be the pick of the individual Pinot Noir CuvΓ©es at Ten Minutes by Tractor. β 10 months ago

The perfect Pinot! Well balanced, juicy but not sweet. Loved it! β 5 years ago
Last week was a combo of 4th Friday and Open That Bottle Night on back to back nights. Needless to say, the lineup between both days was full of heavy hitters, so Iβm only posting standout bottles.
These can be polarizing wines due to their massive and rich profile, but they are certainly decadent, delicious and approachable young. That being said, this was probably at peak 3-5yrs ago. It didnβt seem tired, but the fruit has started to show some sappy qualities, as well as baked fig and cherry liqueur. Stewed black cherries, dark chocolate dipped blueberries and ripe blackberries. It drinks with good acidity and tannin, as well as cinnamon, graham cracker and more liqueur type notes at the finish. Still hedonistic in style. β 5 years ago
Nice sweet red with a quick dry finish. Notes of black cherry. β 6 years ago
Another great vintage of this underrated NZ single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc. Loads of citrus (primarily grapefruit) and herbaceous notes. Light bodied with Bracing acidity. Crisp and refreshing. Consistent from year to year. β 7 years ago
