La Grange included it in a wine tasting as a teaser for those of us who are not subscribed to their wine club ($200/quarter) While it makes sense that this is going to be their good wine, I was wowed by just how good this wine was. totally reminded me of those teaser days at the orchard that felt like summer but smelled like fall:
Smelled like damp straw, hard apple cider and bourbon a little like cinnamon and ripe pear (the bartlett ones that turned yellow and soft, ugh). Tasted a little less like that (Although still fruity) but had more of a soft lemon thing then slightly dry with a touch of salt + basil (I swear to God) at the very very end and that's all i got. !! — 10 years ago
