The 2020 “del Comune di Serralunga d’Alba” is a traditional blend of three MGAs from Serralunga: mostly younger vines from Baudana, Cerretta and now, some fruit from Costabella. Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of several hours. The 2020 pours a beautiful garnet with a transparent core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with tart and ripe notes of Morello cherry, pomegranate, talcum powder, red roses, dry earth and old wood. On the palate, the wine is bone dry with high tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and slightly savory. I took the opportunity to enjoy this alongside the “Baudana” and this didn’t have the same elegance but it’s a very complete and balanced Barolo. Drink now through 2040. — 8 months ago
So good. Grillo from the tiny island of mozia in the Marsala bay. Gorgeous green apple, tree fruits, layered salinity and great balance with med+ acidity. — 5 years ago
Impromptu Mourvèdre face-off. Super crunchy red fruits with the classic D&R spice/incense. Pure and joyful but, incredibly, lost the battle on this night. — 5 years ago

Blend of Inzolia, Graciano, Grecanico and Chardonnay. Dark straw color. Love the “Rhenish-style” bottle. Aromas of applesauce, white flowers and chalk. Zesty lemon/lime and intense mineral notes on the palate with hints of unripe peach, apricot, cantaloupe and honey. Medium-body and finish with crisp/bracing acidity. Viscous texture. Fresh and vibrant! — 6 months ago
As one can expect for a Dave Phinney wine, this is rich and ripe, but it has so much more to offer at year 14. Blueberry, fig, tobacco, cracked pepper, dried mushroom, and slight hint of barnyard. On the palate it’s juicy yet soft and ultra smooth. The finish is long, candied, and earthy.

Nice Albariño. Citrus and florals present. Great summer supper. Purchased at Keif & Co in NOLA — 8 years ago
This wine is dark red in the glass, almost indigo. On the nose, the savory notes jump out first. Tar, spice, cedar and cigars combine for a superior olfactory presentation. The palate brings black fruit and savory notes together, as plum and blackberry meld with earth, leather and tobacco for a formidable display. The tannins are medium firm, which is great for sipping and functional for pairing with a pan fried pork chop. — 7 months ago
100% Sangiovese. Soft and velvety but oh so expressive! Aromas and flavors of red and black fruits. Complex accents of forest floor, tobacco, dried herbs, black licorice and coffee. The fruit is bold, but it keeps the noteworthy tannins and alcohol in lovely balance. Oaky on the finish but not overpowering. Beautiful wine. Thank You so much, Kase. — 3 years ago
Super good! Typical Aussie style, big, but opened up very nicely after decanting. Not jammy, a little tannic, but overall great — 5 years ago
a little acidic at first but it really opens up as you drink it. i like it more and more. — 5 years ago

不错的小酒,性价比挺高,就是感觉过最佳时期了,单宁结构感没大有了,果味还算可以,有一点黑巧和奶油感,还有点醛类物质香气。 — 5 months ago
