So this is the Orange wine you were talking about @Todd Abrams. Probably to cold right now but very interesting. Will have to let it warm up a bit — 10 years ago
Really interesting SB. Yed this is me talking. Racy acidity depth mouth and presence of oak here is terrific -- oak is subtle, unlike my friend (the wine's maker) Felipe, :-) — 10 years ago
"Awesome" is inadequate as a descriptor when talking about this wine. The greatest Bien Nacido bottle I've ever experienced. #ipob14 — 11 years ago
somm overhears you talking about finance bros ordering sassicaia, get a pour of sassicaia 🙃 — 8 years ago

This wine needs decanting. It changes rapidly. Charcoal notes at the start. Brick. Vanilla. It's that 60 year old gray-haired man who has a lifetime of stories and a relaxed manner about him — 9 years ago
Balance from nose to finish for a young Barolo, wow. An elegant Barolo, and by elegant I'm talking graceful fruit nicely balanced by brooding characters of the fine. Black Cherry, fresh cut spring flowers, aged leather, black tea, and tobacco. More medium than heavy but notable in depth that I expect to grow exponentially with 5-15 more years. Massive QPR for the great 2010 vintage. — 9 years ago

Wow! Huge right off the bat and super complex, multi-layered. A lot of stories in 1. — 10 years ago
Now we're talking- this is balanced and beautiful. — 10 years ago
Now we're talking! Aging well, lovely texture, balance of masculine and feminine, floral, plum, blackberry, hint of olive, drink now, you will be happy. — 10 years ago
Now we're talking. Albariño that's serious and with a clear point of view. Delicious. — 11 years ago
The winery is the equivalent of 18 stories tall. Underground, in a mountain. — 12 years ago
Not sure what others who have had this reservation are talking about. I just had the 2001 and this wine aged to perfection, cooler was light, brick, Georgia clay, yet the flavors where top notch. Lucky to have it, had their 2011 Brunelo the other day and that is nails as well. — 8 years ago

The girth and weight of this bad boy is ... Remarkable, jarring, and exceptional. I'll be talking about him for a long, long time. I mean it when I say he is one of the top two I've had in recent memory. Can't wait to get back in the sheets for a tumble with this one as soon as possible. — 9 years ago
Gamay the Burgundian way. This was once love at first sight and I keep coming back to it. There is something about the texture that is unexplainable. Light-hearted but damn serious. And then I wasn't even talking about the phenomenal perfume. Finesse all the way. From the granite and schist soils on the Py hillside. — 10 years ago
When Jeremy Clarkson says "powaaah!" He could be talking about this Meritage. Dark fruits wrapped in powerful tannins. Would pair well with a beast of a ribeye, me thinks -- Wineshout.com — 10 years ago
A friend who hands you a glass of this is a very good friend. There's nothing I could say about this wine that has not already been said. Ideal match for easy laughter and complicated stories. — 10 years ago

Our server warned us about the high alcohol content- he didn’t realize who he was talking to. We tried to have him shake the bottle and he gave it a polite attempt. — 7 years ago
