2016 vintage. Owned by the Chanfreau family (also Lestage and Fonréaud in Listrac). A blend of Merlot (65%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (35%). Still a bit on the oaky side, but the wine handles it well. The red fruit is juicy and fresh, the tannins ripe and the wine has elegance. Wait a few years until it fully absorbs the oak or decant if you drink it now. — 5 years ago

2019 vintage. Another great value from this Listrac estate. Dark red. Black fruit, less oaky compared to the 2018. Good concentration, a more extracted style compared to fellow Cru Bourgeois Supérieur Lilian Ladouys 2019 (Saint-Estephe) tasted alongside, but excellent value at 11(!) euros. — 4 years ago
Wie immer, eine Bank. Mit ein wenig Luft ein paar Tage im Schraubverschluss gereift einfach noch besser, ausgewogener. — 5 years ago
Easy drinking red blend cab franc, Merlot, Cab Sav, & Malbec. Plum & berry. Slight pepper. Really good. — 9 years ago
Liked this one, was only $10, not as big as I would've hoped for — 12 years ago
Oaky and blackberry taste. I don't drink a lot of French wine, and I thought I try some. This one was pretty good for the price. — 4 years ago
Fast zwei Jahre auf der Flasche und die zwei Tage offen: feine Altersfirnis schöne Frucht, wenig Säure, wirklich schade, dass es die letzte Flasche war. — 5 years ago
Ein schöner leichter Sommer Wein für heiße Tage — 5 years ago

2019 vintage. After the excellent Cabernet Sauvignon dominated 2018, this 2019 is predominantly Merlot (59%), with 37% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc. Less colour compared to fellow Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel Château Lestage (Listrac) tasted alongside, indicating more gentle extractions. Delightfully floral nose with bright red fruit and very discrete oak. Medium-bodied, fresh and energetic, with a serious tannic backbone, but smooth and elegant with very good mineral length. The Lorenzetti family is doing a great job here, and they just bought neighbouring Grand Cru Classé Lafon-Rochet, an exciting extension of their portfolio that already includes Pédesclaux (Pauillac) and co-owned Issan (Margaux). Terrific value too. — 4 years ago
