Very enjoyable wine but was less impressed upon trying a second bottle. Smooth and somewhat mild in flavor but the texture feels great. Dark fruits yet subtle. Would drink again but perhaps not quite worthy of the price tag. — 7 years ago
Great stuff: very light, delicate but somehow powerful. Perfectly fresh acidity accompanied by soft, creamy body. Amazingly reasonable price tag. Cool it nicely and you get an ideal day-around-the-pool wine. — 9 years ago
Sometimes you really just need to Goode into a title until it is ready to drink..
Deep,, dark fruits nose, with traces of hazelnuts
Black Forest cherry, mint, Irish breakfast tea, all wrapped up and strained through Dominican tobacco leaves.
Hefty and delicious. — 7 years ago
Tasted in 2014 but I still remember this wine. Think Burgundy without the price tag and a bit more candied fruit. Aromas of figs, raisins, spices, earth, and dried cherries, even some rhubarb. Outstanding value. — 7 years ago
At least once in my life, although not worth the $600 price tag. — 8 years ago
Very soft earthy fruits. The age really smoothed this out. I have lost a lot of chances to drink heavy cabs since I stopped eating meat but i would drink this anytime. I try to rate my wines on expected quality based on price. This wine is well balanced and is deserving of its price tag. A gem find. ☺️ #diamondcreek — 9 years ago
Anise, licorice and stewed dark fruit on the nose as it opens, along with a black pepperiness that carries over into the palate. Deep dried plum fruit, olives, blackcurrant, leather, rosemary. Needs some time to age - as it stands this is a perfectly nice wine but doesn't justify the price tag. — 9 years ago
Was recommended to us by some friends. It has become our everyday wine. You cannot beat the price of this wine. Would definitely class it has a hidden gem from Aldi, along with so many other wines from Aldi. Usually cheap wines are justified by their price tag and you get what you pay for but not this little beauty! No shopping trip is complete without a couple of bottles of Grapevine finding their way into my trolley. — 9 years ago
As you swish the wine around and send your nose to the rim of your glass, a hint of smoke alongside a whiff of spice will tingle your olfactory. Now take that glass and touch the wine to your lips and take the smallest sip while breathing through your nose to be hit hard by 2 of your senses. Now your taste buds will get a rush of oak and black cherry that expands the tongue and moistens the cheeks. The wine will slide down your throat coating every inch with a smooth, buttery texture. The alcohol content hitting you in the deep throat resembling a higher than average alcohol content. This wine is extravagant, but if you have too much at once, the tannins will turn you red. This wine is marvellous and the price tag definitely will reflect that. — 7 years ago
Still had life! Original price tag said $8.95 — 8 years ago
I can't Believe there is actually a location tag for my roof top of my building.
This wine was just Average, almost flat when drinking with Kaur then put in fridge, 4 days later with Carmen was excellent! Was it the company? ! Bottle from DOC — 9 years ago
How smooth is silk......well Quin has one up on silk! Well worth the steep price tag. — 9 years ago
Wow freaking good. King of the regional appelation is a well deserved title — 9 years ago
Peter Sultan
Has a ferocity & rawness to its tannins that, despite its 12$ price tag & ‘simple’ profile, bear well with the bottle age. Much better day 2. Bell pepper & delicious in its own right. — 6 years ago
