Had the 2009 recently and loved it...
Red color, medium+ bodied. On the nose lots of spices... licorice, white pepper. Silky round ball in my mouth, licorice persists, medium+ tannins, and a tad hot on the swallow. I'm thinking this is a spectacular buy right now.

Lots of red fruit showing through. Rewarding from sip to swallow. One of the better PM Pinot’s that I have had. — 7 years ago
To me, this is an underrated wine on this site. It recently received 91 pts from a renowned reviewer and in my mind it is worth every point. When you combine the price point, the wonderful blend, and the expressive nose of dark berries and cherries, you’ll find a Bordeaux that goes well with red meats, pork loin, lamb, turkey, and hard cheeses. The finish lingers pleasantly and end each swallow with a desire for “just one more please!” — 7 years ago

Crisp, light with subtle green apple and nectarine. Dry mouth feel that lags (flavor hits a few seconds after you swallow). Hard to pinpoint but objectively a good fucking wine.
Good on it’s own. Not meant to pair with anything - maybe white fish? Wine you drink because your drinking, not pairing — 8 years ago
Light with coffee and berry, very unique at $8 a steal. — 8 years ago
Dry farm organic Rose. Tart and citrus like at the beginning, but super sweet at the swallow. Dry taste at the end. Yum! — 8 years ago
Medium green gold in glass. The nose is ripe Amalfi lemon with a hint of lime. A bit more weight on the mouth than expected, but smooth and lively on the swallow... and amazing complexity of tart citrus and cream. These wines always bring a smile to my face and a lift to my spirit. Kudos, Tegan. — 6 years ago

Probably a little less amazeballs than the 2009 that Obama served the French president when he visited the white house, but still fantastic! A rustic sage and anise note are quite interesting as it lingers long after you swallow. Otherwise, the cherry and cola notes from the cab play off the juicy strawberry and leathery/fleshy notes of the Syrah. Damn this is good! — 6 years ago
Oh man. The massivity of brunello with the balance of San Lorenzo. Gods cherry syrup with cherry licorice on the nose. Spice that stings the nose. Intense as hell. Palate is sick. Just Uber powerful cherries with spice. As you swallow just this awesome sweet cherry licorice. So damned fresh even though it’s a massive wine. Still juicy. Loooooooooove 06 in Montalcino. Long as hell. Persistent. So good. Bought from Fass Selections. — 7 years ago

Road trips deserve respites. Beaufort, SC’s Old Bull Tavern spinning Marvin, Jimmi, and Stevie while casually offering up perfect garlicky oil bathed snails set upon crazy freshly baked chewy sour dough simply screams for, oh yeah, the wine. This fine Pomerol waits, wanting , her dangerously dark scarlet skin shimmers as she spins in the early evening tempted by the tunes revealing her marooning shades, darker bleeding berries, showing lighter in the wafting inconsistency of candle light. Another spin , a tilt, a voyeur’s gaze, a twirl, and a first kiss’ earthy wet spice on the front succumbs to plum its well-balanced acid clutches begging another spin, The I sip slow seductive deep kiss as she floods forward - I swallow, but she clings slowly, gradually, teetering touching sliding slowly, stealthy, soothingly, seductively signaling - have another hit... Don’t miss this wine or place, both picture perfect dripping southern edge and charm with a French accent and kiss🍷🌀 — 8 years ago
Grapes and blackberries. Has an acidic swallow but very yummy. Sam likes it. Sweet. — 8 years ago
Not a big nose, mild ripe fruits, dark red nearly purple-black. What a smooth mouth feel. Big ripe fruit and silky texture on the tongue with a hint of smoke on the swallow. A nice last. As it opened, still the same smooth fruity taste, but a little acidity on the last. Not unpleasant, but a strange sensation. Mid-alcohol, long leg tapers in the glass. — 8 years ago
Bracing acidity with mid-weighty tropical fruit (ever so slightly creamy) provide an unusual but very satisfying swallow. By itself, or with a meaty fish grilled on the BBQ, this 2017 three-varietal Ribeiro white is certainly worth seeking out. — 6 years ago
So when you first read anything about this wine the words “rare” and “almost extinct” keep popping up everywhere you go. So whenever I had a chance to try this varietal I leapt at the opportunity. An interesting nose, earthy and leathery with some dusty/musty odors. Made me think of a library. For a wine that supposed to be tanin heavy and historically was only regarded for making vinegar it has a remarkably smooth taste. It comes off bold and brassy with ripe jam plum notes with some flavors of raisins. The wine hits you mid tongue and goes all the way back. You can feel the fullness and the structure of the tannins, but fortunately they don’t come across as bitter. Reminds me of a balsamic-port reduction. Flavor is strong and heavy throughout and even though it doesn’t feel hot and heavy with alcohol on the tongue you definitely can feel it going down your chest as you swallow. 100% Vidadillo from vineyards planted in 1910. 24 months in French and American oak. Very fun to try what is basically a dinosaur of a grape that used to be used for other things, hopefully these “forgotten“ grape varieties will start making a comeback. — 7 years ago
Great value Red from Macedonia. Bright purple color that shows off notes of ripe red berries and fruit jams. (Concentrated). Little bit of cinnamon and herbs on the finish. Not much of a nose at all. Medium body with a very narrow and smooth finish. (When you swallow it- it is gone). Pretty good. — 7 years ago
Opened a 2009 last week. Just superb. Balanced, just enough fruit, great mouth feel, smooth, absolutely no bad characteristics from first sip to swallow. — 8 years ago
Ordered at a cute wine bar in Perth, called Swallow Bar. Earthy/minerally finish. Great with tapas. — 8 years ago
Great, earthy red. Dry on the front and fruity on the swallow. — 9 years ago
