2010. I knew it. I knew I should have waited. But noooo. A powerful, complex, and elegant wine. But still so concentrated, so youthful. It really deserved 5-7 more years minimum. Dang it to heck. But, because it's already opened, I figure we might as well enjoy its deep and delightful deliciosity. Tremendous but nowhere near its peak. Double decant? Seems like it almost didn't matter. 9.4 and rising. But it won't survive another assessment. — 10 years ago

The fruit is simply sensational. Ripe; raspberries, strawberries, pomegranate, dark and Rainer cherries. Chalky limestone, cinnamon stick, just a hint of nutmeg, other non-distinct minerals, great acidity and a long soft elegant finish. — 10 years ago

Yum! Just starting to try to identify notes though I've been a wine drinker for years. I always describe what I think I like as "chewy, heavy, big". A friend recommended this after tasting it and reading the tasting notes. It is my hands down favorite. 2011. Drank three glasses trying to figure out this wine...sometimes there was a little petrol, mineral, and stone fruit like a riesling; sometimes lemony citrus with nice acidity; some herbal and floral notes; full bodied and a little oily. — 10 years ago

Black cherry fruit accompanied by a heavy dose of grilled meat and gym socks. Inky color, strong legs, medium-bodied. Unfortunately, in keeping with the spirit of the Olympics, it didn't stick the landing -- the finish is short.
