This is fucking right now. Gorgeous, enough hedonistic quality but retains balance and complexity. Smoked BBQ ribs, roasted coffee, mesquite charcoal, bacon fat, talcum, leather, vanilla, mulberry compote with a hint of overripe blue fruit. It has sinew and grit, but there’s appropriate richness on the palate to balance its structure. Tannins are a touch drying, but I love the character that brings to it. Young but to good now, properly stored I could see this hitting 20 years no problem. Perfect with a bacon cheeseburger w/ grilled onion. Curious how ‘15 and ‘16 vintages will stack up. — 6 years ago
This wine is a stunner. The fruit is vivid but not overpowering. The mouthfeel is silky but weightless at the same time. And the acidity is sublimely balanced with the rest of the wine. A truly excellent expression of pinot noir. — 10 years ago
A very tasty Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Showing black fruits with cedar, vanilla, leather, spices, earth, chocolates, tobacco and herbs.
Bone dry on the palate, and full bodied with medium acidity.
Needs time to open up properly.
Still young and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly.
Wine Advocate 92 points.
Spicy and tangy finish with firm tannins.

Probably opened this too soon, which is so unlike me😬
Curious how this will stack up against the Carter Hossfeld which is almost the same blend of Merlot & Cabernet.
Find out in a couple weeks when Carter ships
Same price & almost exactly same ratings from WA,
95 for this & 94+ for Hossfeld — 7 years ago
This wine is amazing. The acidity is still vibrant. The flavors explode on the palate. It's amazing how fresh it still tastes. Just found out these guys are starting back up and I can't wait to taste the new vintage. — 9 years ago
Blueberry, blackberry with tobacco and coffee beans. Tannins are soft with a good bit of sediment. Great Syrah. — 9 years ago
Spectacular dinner party wine--affordable enough to stack em up, light and fresh, tasty and versatile — 10 years ago
Nice and bold, but extremely high in OH! Another great value at half off though. — 10 years ago
We love Aesthete, and we love this rosé, too. But at $40 per? — 6 years ago
Not bad. Didn’t stack up to the Pierre Morey Bourgogne — 6 years ago
Wow. Just loved it. Classic old world red, rich and balanced. Nice berry, pepper and leather. Amazing deal at $43. Must stack up! — 9 years ago
When you had a great wine you know it. It is when you wake up the next day and the one think on your mind is...That Wine! Chénas Quartz 2014 Cru Beaujolais from Domaine Piron-Lameloise is beautiful with its 'Teinte Grenat' colour. The nose is floral, Roses, with a touch of leather and also earthy and fruit forward of black Bing cherries. The depth of the wine is pleasantly surprising! It is better to decant it for 1hr and serving temperature should be around 17C. Stack on this wine for your cellar. It is a rare Gem! Wine pairing: For cheese lovers a nice blue cheese! Wine & Dine: Aiguillettes de canard accompanied with Cherry Chutney! One glass and you are Creating Moments! — 9 years ago
2006 vintage. Did let it breathe for a while. Still good and and solid. Nice fruit and tannins. Found it in my stack of wines. I am glad. — 10 years ago

Pale ruby color. Aromas of bing cherry, cranberry and ocean breeze. Good cherry flavors, not a bad Pinot for the price. — 5 years ago
