This is the USC cuvee. They chose 2 parcels from the vineyard for USC's own wine..
the result is super impressive. Burgundian in balance with that dark fruit that is typical of Santa Rita. Could be mistaken for a premier cru Nuit St Georges — 6 years ago
Stunning and captivating Burgundy, from a tiny lieu dit in Nuit-Saint-Georges near the village proper. Perfect harmony with the structure and acidity of 2008 that should allow this to age effortlessly for many, many more years....like 15-20. The nose is simply off the charts! — 7 years ago
Kind of profound? I mean, this is kind of a cru nuit st George in disguise. Crazy good. Beats the 2014 by a stretch. — 8 years ago
Cuz some nights just need some 'Burg and Attenborough to soften the blow of a bad basketball game... Young Chardonnay vine selection from An awesome Nuit St George producer. Still in a fully youthful phase, but showing finesse beneath a plush exterior. That vertebrae, tho — 8 years ago
The 2017 Nuit-Saint-George village offering is sumptuous and rich, with strawberry liqueur, red and black cherry, balanced by white mushrooms, cola nut, and delicate acidity. Not at all dusty as with Tanzer’s 2016 tasting. This one might not need much time in bottle. Another lovely Meo. — 5 years ago
Carafé 3 heures , le vin est superbe pour un village , la matière est élégante et on retrouve le côté profond et un peu austère de nuit , génial j en veux d autres ! — 6 years ago
Told this was Carignan, a red grape typically, but not barely on skin so this a white wine. Really interesting, hard to place the taste, but nice. Medium body — 7 years ago
Very approachable Nuit St George, we love them as they are almost always are on the border of premier Cru to Grand Cru, devilishly seductive wines. This one is bit less powerful than many of the others. — 8 years ago
Real deal. Very youthful but still drinking quite well. Nose of black and red fruits, violets, fresh blackberries, woodsy notes, with just enough of that nuit St George savory note. On the palate, rich core of black wild berries and red cherries with more florality than you would spect from NSG. Opened up a ton over a couple of hours, but feels like it will turn spectacular in 5 years — 8 years ago
Picked this baby up Nuit-Saint-George while touring France with the in-laws. Father-in-law currently in the cath lab for an inferior STEMI, so decided to break this one out of the archives. Best of luck, Ralph! — 5 years ago
Bu après le nuit , même année pour comparer (au mieux j avais pas de nuits de David ) belle matière , vin plus ouvert mais pas plus profond , par contre on est clairement sur le fruit — 6 years ago
Bought at auction a while ago, label fell off at some point, and I forgot the wine. True blind tasting. I think it is a 93 Noellat Nuit st. George. Did the trick. — 8 years ago
An impressive example of an often over looked appellation. In the glass, I wander from Chablis to Nuit St Georges Blanc and momentarily in Puligny. Not sure how or why and it doesn't really matter because this is a delicious wine. Not aggressive anything...just beauty and balance with a welcome inclusion of fruit and a touch of oak. — 8 years ago

The 2015 is drinking better after some additional time in bottle. Since I recently opened some Meo-Camuzet Burgundies, I wanted to compare while they were fresh in my mind. This wine reminds me of a New World version of Meo’s village Nuit-St-George. It’s slightly riper in some ways, simpler in structure, and doesn’t have much of that Old World tangy/sour/mineral finish. Cost is sorta close (Meo a little more in most markets), so for me the Meo wins by a SLIGHT margin, but this is oh-so-close. The N-J will likely be preferred by most American palettes. — 5 years ago
