This one took an hour or so to open up, but once it did it was amazing! Baking spices and dark fruit on the nose and palate. The varietal composition for this wine seems to vary by vintage, but this '18 was all merlot. Funny, this bottle was a substitution for a different one that ended up being out of stock. I think I enjoyed this one more than I would have enjoyed my first choice! 100% Merlot. 2/5/23. — 2 years ago
Very pleasant Pinot Noir fermented and aged in terracotta amphorae. Smell of small red fruits it’s very juicy on the palate with good acidity and freshness. — 3 years ago
Earthy and subtle. Medium bodied, high acid and cherry. — 5 years ago
You could say this is v.nice. Ok, this wine is fantastic. Oak, vanilla, cocoa, leather, cooked jam on the nose. Dry, tannic, so fruity with plums, strawberry, and raspberry. Had the primitivo from this winery and they clearly know what’s up. Would love to have again, preferably every day until I croak. — 2 years ago

Zanasi Società Agricola ‘Bruno Zanasi’ Lambrusco Grasparosso Di Castelvetro DOP: Big & juicy taste. Light carbonation. Vibrant nose with fresh & ripe flavors. Strawberry. Cherry. Cranberry. Long, medium-dry finish. Frizzante fun with this great Emilia-Romagna sparkling wine. Can’t wait to return! Cheers🍷 — 3 years ago

Last fall, I had the distinct pleasure of tasting a wine from AnneSanti for the first time. On that occasion, it was the Rosso, served blind. It ended up being one of the more memorable wines of 2020! On this occasion, I was presented with the Bianco (not blind). The wine was very light in color. On the nose, minerals, linen, chamomile, white flowers, stony, citrus and honey. On the palate, I found it to be quite brisk but in a very good way with light stone fruits and citrus notes. There was really nice persistent acid with a long, mineral driven finish that worked so well with the smoked trout. This is a fantastic aperitivo. I want this wine outdoors on a warm day with Gabin, dZihan & Kamien and Gotan Project playing in the background accompanied by light Mediterranean fare and, most importantly, some good mates. Overall, having now tasted two wines from this producer, I am eager to try them all. — 4 years ago

Probably the best croatina I’ve ever had! Okay, prob the only one I’ve ever had. Another Lou classic, earthy, funky, tart cherries, beautiful ruby color and barnyard nose. — 5 years ago

Very nice (haha, get it?). Seriously a beautiful wine all around but at $30/bottle you get what you pay for. Opaque purple color. Black cherry, chocolate, peppercorn, vanilla, and a hint of spruce tips on the nose. Cinnamon and strawberry taste, super complex. FULL bodied with an acidic bite underneath. Third wine from this winery, all were incredible. — 2 years ago
