Crisp, tasty — 5 months ago
Pleasantly floral and slightly herbal, the 2021 Soave II Selene opens with green apple, candied lime and sweet sage aromas. Soft and supple, with crisp acids, the Selese finishes long and full of tension, leaving traces of Granny Smith apple and a salty minerality. $13.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, April 2023) — 3 years ago

Great Italian red — 6 years ago
A full bodied, high tannin, dry wine without as much of a bite as others in this category. Notes of cherry blackberry and raisin are well balanced and gentle with regard to aftertaste. This is a versatile table wine with regard to pairings. — 5 months ago
Acidic and drab with a nice richness. — 6 months ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of three days. Consistent throughout. The 2019 “La Rocca” pours a bright, deep straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe, squishy tropical and orchard fruit: pineapple, apricot, yellow flowers, nuts, saffron and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long, elegant with a silky texture. This worked wonders with homemade Runza’s. This is a significant step up from the Soave Classico. Drink now through 2034. — 8 months ago
