The 2021 Soave Classico Monte Carbonare is decidedly savory, displaying notes of crushed rocks and dried flowers that give way to white peach and hints of gingery spice. It sweeps across the palate with a silky, textural wave of liquid florals and ripe pit-fruits, riding along a core of vibrant acidity. Notions of candied lime and saline minerals linger through the long and youthfully tense finale as the 2021 leaves a confectionary air of spice. (Eric Guido, Vinous, February 2024)

The 2021 Soave is a charmer. Vividly fruity, floral and wickedly fresh on the nose, it blends candied lime and salty minerals with sour melon, all driven by juicy acidity. A tropical flourish appears as this tapers off with lovely tension. Enjoy soon to take advantage of its zesty character. $15.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, April 2023) — a year ago
Love this. A glass or two by the pool. Fantastic. Pears and peaches. Stainless steel fermentation. — 6 years ago
Ripe yellow fruits, some spices, herbs and minerality. Rather dense and concentrated with long finish. This is what Soave is about. — 6 years ago
Pale lemon color.
Aromas of green herbal notes.
Dry. Flavors of lime, cooked spinach in garlic, herbs, floral.

Alex likes this one. Notes of pear, honey and citrus with slight minerality. Light and fresh. — 5 months ago
Pleasantly floral and slightly herbal, the 2021 Soave II Selene opens with green apple, candied lime and sweet sage aromas. Soft and supple, with crisp acids, the Selese finishes long and full of tension, leaving traces of Granny Smith apple and a salty minerality. $13.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, April 2023) — a year ago

Small red berries, black and white pepper, strawberry, hay, leather a bit too. Rather discreet but complex nose. The palate is a real treat. So long, so intense! A very strong acid backbone which makes for a dynamic mouthfeel. Strawberry and small red berries dance all around it. Some width and a smooth touch on the sides, a bit of tannins too to spice things up. There is something else in the texture like a layer of silk with a touch of tobacco, I don't know how to describe it otheewise. The finish is everlasting with the small red berries and a nice acid/bitter touch that make it very classy. It blends a grand Bourgogne touch with a dynamic and fruitful châteauneuf du pape distinction. What a wine! — 5 years ago
