Bold!! Great bottle of a unique and memorable wine. The bourbon barrel aging provided a layer of sweet smooth hints of spirits. Very enjoyable. — 7 years ago
Have yet to have an EK bottle disappoint. This is in a fantastic window right now. So good. From the winery; ‘In the glass, the 2013 Small Town Pinot is a very pretty medium garnet color. Explosive aromas of crushed red cherry, forest floor and spice abound, followed by an outright party of ripe cranberry, strawberry, black plum and rhubarb pie on the palate. All rounded out by hints of juniper berry, nutmeg and cloves. A hair riper than last year, but no less graceful, there’s a pleasant sense of all-around finesse.’ All ringing true tonight. Loved this. — 9 years ago

Very nice with my BT Steak. — 10 years ago
1983 - holding much better than equivalent Bordeaux. Rich, torrefaction - deep layers of fruit emerging through heaps of forest floor. — 11 years ago
Out of the three Rye Whiskey samples that we tried this was my favorite. Keeping in mind that I was a "Rye Whiskey Virgin" until that night, so I'm no expert. But I do know what I like. It was smooth out of the glass, had a nice nose, and wasn't over powering. Jeff and I agreed, and ranked this one 1st. — 11 years ago
Very meaty, leathery. 1998. Red fruit, good gamey notes. Superbly balanced. Soft. Lovely. Long savoury, truffle. Mushroom. Forest floor. Autumnal. — 11 years ago
Drank with my buddies Geoff and Danny. It's amazing. Here is the thing when drinking next to a 70 R Mondavi CS you really see the Bordeaux wooly aromatic thing. Napa is so clean and offering of florals and fruits, yet the Bordeaux had the forest floor and wooly thing. Both awesome but night and day. — 13 years ago
Birth year Bordeaux and this has been excellent. Very old school nose of copious tobacco, forest floor and dark berries. Medium bodied but gaining intensity over the course of 2 h - tannins completely melted. Bricking is apparent on first pour but the color grows darker with time. Perfect bottle that is a little past it’s prime but fun to step back in time. — 5 years ago

Dark ruby red. Rich and earthy with notes of dark berries, and some damp forest. Medium plus tannins (6.5/10) and full bodied. Dark palate as well with dark cocoa, cigar box and black berries. Long finish and drinking well with some air. Drink till 2027. — 9 years ago
Past peak but still some nice cassis fruit and acid in there to go along with smokey forest floor notes. Clear quality as elegance. — 10 years ago

2014 vintage. Surprisingly well balanced for such an inexpensive wine. Fairly tannic with luscious dark berry/cherry notes and quite a bit of spice. Long and lovely finish. Good value red blend. — 8 years ago
Really love this wine! Great flavour ! Caitlin try to find and try! — 9 years ago
Dry and a little tart finish — 10 years ago
Beaitiful dark ruby color. Tobacco, aged beef, forest floor on the nose. Lovely wine, good value for money. — 10 years ago
Monkey 47 Dry Distiller Gin. Slightly hazy, water white, colourless. Pronounced intensity of perfume, juniper, lingonberry, violets, lavender, orange and grapefruit zest. With water added, more perfume and citrus notes to the fore. Dry on the palate. Warming alcohol, medium body, pronounced flavour intensity. Long finish. Very complex. Outstanding example of a premium gin. — 11 years ago
Smoky, tobacco, herbaceous, forest, dried raspberries and red currants. Very well integrated and in a great place right now. Lots of complexity in this wine at this price — 11 years ago

Ok it’s not the greatest year, but this wine is very nice. A real classic Margaux with stil some dark forest fruit, some pencil and a box filled with vanilla stuffed Havana’s. Not a full bodied wine but a real charmer. — 5 years ago
