Oh yummy!!! Drank this last night and loved every sip — 10 years ago
The best scent of any wine!! You can smell the barrel and hints of nuts and berries.. makes u with to take a long sip. The body is very light. Not what you would expect from a cab. But nice. Fruity dry then a hint of coffee at the end. — 10 years ago
What a treat. From the company to the antics of the cork removal, all was fantastic. Not surprised with some immediate mustiness on the nose, giving way to a rich but smooth aged blue cheese, mushrooms, soy sauce, earth, and just a faint hint of dried red fruit. Over the next 20 minutes the glass development was out of control, changing with each and every whiff and sip. Earthy umami, oxidative, and and slightly stewed reds to begin quickly opened to nice dried strawberries on the palate and nose, and advancing to moderately subdued ripened strawberries and cranberries- after 61 years and still kickin with fruit! Amazing. Then after about 20 minutes of rapid metamorphosis, it gave in and decided to fade to a very pleasant sipper...awesome. — 10 years ago
Don't pop bottles #nowadays...just sip grapes and pop corks...this wine no lie is probably one of my sleeper wines...its a #musttotry... — 11 years ago
My favorite wine! The best! #1 This wine has so many layers upon layers of goodness to unravel. It's everything you ever wanted and more especially if you are like me who started out thinking bigger is better. My first and early Cab > Zinfandel> Barolo>big Spanish exploration, which I only appreciated years after diving into Pinot Noir, helps me truly enjoy this wine. A big punch in the face of amazing rich aromas and layers of flavors that seem to keep changing with every sip (savor every drop) of this wine. But the key is the balance! This wine is made so well and is such a complete package. After drinking it the first time I remember saying to myself "this is why I drink wine". It was like I found the one I had been waiting for. I am now satisfied and complete. Keep all the #boregundy you want, give me La Chapelle! — 12 years ago
Light straw in color with a light golden tint.
Beautiful nose of tropical fruits, white flowers, limes, lemon zest, mangoes, guava, peaches, apples, passion fruit, pears, melons and white pepper.
Medium-bodied and crisp with high acidity.
Dry and fruity on the palate with green apples, grapefruits, limes lemons and spices.
Long finish with nice acidity, bitter almonds and pepper.
What a nice Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough. Refreshing and crisp for this wonderful Florida weather. Nice enough to sip on by itself. I paired it with grilled salmon.
13% alcohol by volume. — 10 years ago
29 years old and drank incredibly well. What a treat. The big fruits have softened but in their place is now a brooding torrent of notes which evolved from sip to sip. Quite a remarkable wine. — 10 years ago

This is just one of the best wines! No matter what I try I always come back here and get blown away at every sip. Very bold, very dry! Perfect! — 11 years ago
Crisp, refreshing. #Green Apple/tropical notes. Great wine:) — 11 years ago
Light and refreshing. Easy to sip. More floral than fruit. — 12 years ago
2013. Inky color. First sip bright fleshy black fruit. Nice structure needs time. Nice cab nose and finish — 10 years ago
Opened, took a small taste, after a swirl in the stem. Surprise! it seemed a little thin & woody. Decanted for a hour MUCH Better and just continued to evolve in the stem, each sip better than the last! This wine is still young and vibrant. The tannins are integrating nicely. I truly believe this wine can compete with 1st growths. Well done Phelps!!! What a way to end a week & begin a weekend, now I need something to compete tonight, Colgin? — 10 years ago
The first sip is peppery. The second sip is delicious. Balanced acidity and fruit. Smooth finish. Worth trying if you like Cab Sav. — 10 years ago
This gets a 11+ rating if it was possible. The gods would be so lucky to have a sip of this. Incredible wine for Christmas. Such a light color for the age. So round and perfect. Finish that never ends. Doesn't get better. — 11 years ago

Exquisite and dainty. A slight toast in the first sip and lingers with honey and yellow fruit. Femininity reigns with this Blancs de Blancs. — 10 years ago
