Beautiful suave Bordeaux. Silky tannins, excellent acidity and freshness. Black fruits, cassis, warm spices on the noise. Nice mineral finish with hint of earthiness. In a good spot but has lots of life left. — 6 years ago
No detailed notes as we were at dinner with friends. Three Somm’s present for dinner and all thought this was wine of the night. I was one of them.
I believe their 15 is even better than their fantastic 2010.
If you are not familiar with this producer & terroir, I highly recommend you do. It remains under most consumers radar. I should probably stay silent on it as it will only drive up demand and price. But, good wine is meant to be shared with people who know how to appreciate it. This is around $55 on pre-arrival and $70ish if not bought on pre-arrival.
Olivier Lamy left the family Domaine to learn from other producers before returning to his family Domaine. He made Méo-Camuzet for few years just before his return.
The body was thick and slightly waxy. Nice green apple, pineapple, lime, honeysuckle, fruit blossoms with excellent round acidity, texture, elegant and well polished finish.
Recommend you slightly over chill it and decant it for an hour if you drink it this young. After it hour, it really blossoms.

Dill, vanilla, clove, anise, and juicy berries on the noise. Ripe, balanced, and lifted acidity. New American oak is fairly present here, but a great wine! — 8 years ago
Wonderfull vintage, wonderfull noise, superb wine from Rioja — 9 years ago
Although often decent - I found that little red village Burgundies possess the unique elements of their superstar siblings. This one did - albeit in subtle hints, like the silent yet essential intro to a full blown concerto. This was very very good, yet most of all it made me long for a “normal” New Year’s Eve. — 5 years ago

Wow. Silky, plum, great acid, lush noise. Get a case — 7 years ago
2003 Vintage in Magnum. 14.1% Alcohol. Took a while to soak up some air and settle down but once it did, smooth palate and aged fruit flavors and resolved tannins. Not Gail’s style but nothing wrong with this over several days. Slight sediment but no bottle coating. Tried to have it opened iat a restaurant for a friends retirement party but I forgot bring the Ah-so. Waiter with corkscrew destroyed the cork and I gave up and opened a 2003 Switchback Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon Magnum instead which was perfection. No problem with using the Ah-so at home and the corkscrew has not penetrated the bottom or the cork. Purchased at a ZAP silent auction in 2004 or 2005 so it has the three owners signatures on the label. — 7 years ago
Very nice noise with lots fruit, the sweet fruit continue and last well after drinking. Make sure it's well chilled, enjoy! — 8 years ago
Best if the wines I have tried in Israel. Cab blend. Great noise and exquisite balance for a young wine. — 9 years ago
Huge progression from the old worlds that we just pivoted from. Lavish bouquet of opulent fruits and a touch of menthol and bacon fat. Palette is explosive. The winemaker has packed a quart into a pint pot. Palette consists of jam, nutmeg, black olives, toast, and a hint of truffles. A huge fruit-bomb that I suggest you pair with you wife, or significant other. Stay home and switch the cellphones to silent... — 9 years ago

This one had some years on it but still maintained its “liquid steel” focus. — 5 years ago
Qantas mixed dozen.# well worth it 😁 . Smooth, good on the noise, easy to drink 🍷 — 7 years ago
This made me forget there was noise outside my hotel room. Very good! Lots of minerals... stone fruit and yes nutmeg. Wait and you will taste it. Gf thinks wine makes her feel very amorous. — 7 years ago
Rich dark fruits on the noise. Long finish. I have found that the Peter Michael Pinots really reward aging. — 8 years ago

I think this is underrated. Not a $50+ bottle of Sancerre, but pretty darn good for $20. Lots of the qualities I love in Sancerre - mineral, fruit on noise, acid — 9 years ago
