Yum! Scout and I are digging the licorice and cherries. — 10 years ago
Scout and I are enjoying a 2010 cardiac hill. The wine from the 2010 cardiac hill is so distinctive it has a heavy meaty nose, black pepper and cherry in the mouth. Falls a little flat in the middle but perks up a little with sour cherry on the finish. 4/27/15 — 10 years ago
This bourbon, at 99 proof packs a punch, but has one of the smoothest, most satisfying flavors I've ever experienced in a whiskey. — 10 years ago

A treasure from the Chad Chest. Jammy as a motherfucker. — 11 years ago
Many times when I am picking a wine off of a restaurant wine list I employ the strategy of an NFL scout and draft the best available athlete (wine) rather than by position need (food). In this case my strategy was brilliant. A wonderful example of how to handle fruit and let it speak. With every glass I felt like a 15 year old boy reading a copy of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. — 9 years ago

Still lots of tannin even after nine years. Peppery, blackberry. Was really good. Celebrating Jason's Eagle Scout — 10 years ago
Salty air, a smidge of peat, a touch of smoke, and slighty sweet finish. Elegant. An Oat cake and Lockerbie Cheddar would be great, but the lemon Girl Scout cookies will have to do. Thanks Ailee! — 10 years ago
Make sure to decant, at least an hour. Hint of licorice on the nose. Medium to full body, full tannins. Moderate finish. Fair amount of sediment. Went well with Girl Scout thin mints! — 10 years ago

In the old testament Moses sends two men forward to scout the promised land, they go and return carrying bunches of red grapes so large and god filled that they had to transport em hung unstemmed on a long pole carried on the shoulders of the two fellows. Proof they had been and seen the Promised Land ahead. If any grapes broke and that juice ran free down the pole and they, in their thirst, drank that broken juice, Chateau Unang was what it tasted like. — 10 years ago

This is so complex, I smell key lime custard and mint Girl Scout cookies, the texture is oily and the acid cuts like a knife, I might be in love here. Serious, this is amazing. — 9 years ago
