Always a special treat to attend the Wednesday Wine Committee. The hosts always bring out excellent wines!

This one grew on me the longer it was open. Thought it was MAYBE a Bevan Sauv Blanc as the color wasn't super clear, but as you can see, I was fooled. Not a butter bomb. Quick finish and more savory than sweet.

2013. Welcome to the fruit and acid dance. But don't talk about aromas. Say fragrance. And, I almost hate to use this word, but this wine is superbly balanced. Citrus and apples, gorgeous mouthfeel. Long, long finish. Terrific wine.

A vintage I worked on. Amazing! Lemon rind, underripe peach/nectarine, transparent beautiful oak, sea salt salinity. One of the best US chards hands down.

Sharp acidity with rich concentration and underripe tropical fruits. Needs time and needs a warmer serving temperature to enjoy. Excellent.

Massively impressive. Amazing how much the mineral and tension has come around with six extra months in the bottle. A shining example of how great Cali chard can be
