Feet up and game on In the lounge. Time to kick it off with some BSR. Ahhhh!
Showing some leaner & more restrained fruits of; strawberries, watermelon near the rind, cherries, orange citrus-blood orange, tangerine, pink grapefruit with a splash of sugar and black cherries. Still showing their signature, soft, powdery, chalkiness with an edge of a razor. Seashell fossil, sea spray-saline, baguette crust, pink roses and florals. The acidy is always crisp and dead on for my palate. The long, rich, well balanced, polished finish persists nicely.

Love the lavender-ish flavor. Not very sweet. Very fresh. — 6 years ago
This wine is dark and almost black in the glass. It is dry but alive and bright with a kick to it. Has some nice tannins that provide for a gripping finish. — 8 years ago

The 2010 Esprit de Beaucastel from Tablas Creek was a tough act to follow, but this elegant Rhône blend from Sonoma just did that.
The nose was quite similar with aroma of blue fruits and earthy elements with hint of violet, it was the palate that set it apart: soft, complex and deep, with great texture and beautiful acidity that adds the tension. Elegant and seamless.
Kale Anderson was the long time wine maker at Pahlmeyer, and Kale wines are all vineyard-specific. Worth seeking out. — 6 years ago
Discreet nose of garrigue, olive, blackberry, pepper. The palate is very fresh with a splendid balance between a rather strong acid backbone and fruit and matter on the sides. Some tannins to kick things up and a fresh finish with fruit. Very lovely. Definitely the kind of Languedoc stuff I want to sip on regularly. — 7 years ago

There is an irony thing in the nose along with violet and rose petals and cherry and a bit of black pepper. This is the nose I fell in love with 10 years ago. The palate is very well designed with a strong acid backbone, a very nice round and radiating fruit, a bit of a sweet touch, some nice oily, scratchy tannins which kick things up for a rather long finish with that fruit, pepper and a long lasting floral aftertaste. So great. This is 7 Euro when you buy it from the winery directly and it's 15 kilometers from where I am right now 😍 — 5 years ago
Blackberry jam, pepper, a bit of celer, tar, meat juice with a gamey note too. It's intoxicating and it calls for a quick dive. The palate starts with a very nice blackberry jam layer which expands on the width but soon comes a massive acid backbone which pushes the structure toward the end of the palate. It's super powerful yet very complex with different layers: some grip on the side, a buttery, creamy touch and mouthfeel, the acid backbone and some tannins which kick-start and expending finish, very fresh, with blackberry and pepper and a slightly bitter note, just underlined by the gently drying tannins. This is magnificent and comes easily in my top 3 wines all time. I love it and it's an understatement. #birthdaytreat — 6 years ago

Always represents its self well against the Cali Cult Cabs!!!’ Had the Cœur De Vallée Cab, cause I broke the Passionnent in the decanter 10-minutes before kick off, a sad a moment! It stood up to Harlan’s Promontory, Scarecrow, Rudd, & and 04 Insignia. Again a true expression@of Oakville terroir to bad we couldn’t compare a Screaming Eagle. — 6 years ago
