Beautifully crafted 100% #petitverdot from an Old-World style #sonomavalley producer. Classic varietal pencil shaving and violets aroma, velvety mouthfeel enveloping evenly matched acidity and dark fruit. Supple tannins round out a very elegant wine. — 6 years ago
This was a nice surprise. Wonderful fruit, tons of forest floor. I thought I might have let it go too long but it was perfect. — 8 years ago

Beautiful Bordeaux #sonomavalley Moon Mountain AVA blend by Schug; 48% #merlot / 45% #cabernetfranc / 5% Cab/ 2% Petit Verdot - mesmerizing aroma featuring violets, bramble fruit, white pepper, earth - well-concentrated fruit on the palate that brings up coffee, chocolate and jammy notes but all framed nicely with robust acidity but soft tannins in the finish. This is what a Sonoma Valley Bordeaux blend should be. — 6 years ago
Ripe blackberries with a hint of vanilla on the nose. The juicy berries continue on the palate, followed by faint smoke. Bold, mildly dry, long finish. — 7 years ago

This vintage was just budding out when we closed on our house in Sonoma. Very good, lean but definitely a California wine. Great with grilled chicken and ratatouille in Sonoma. 13.5%. — 11 years ago

Medium garnet with a nose of red fruits. Smooth in the mouth with red fruit slightly forward, on the light side of medium body. Slight oak & earth- pretty nice (better than when it was younger!) — 3 years ago
