No. 3 in the Vosne Romanee Grand Cru lineup. My blind tasting notes - “Concentrated Latent and Long. A huge future - amazing potential. I think DRC - La Tache?” The latter assumption proving to be wrong as that was Wine No. 1. Nevertheless the quality of the 2015 Grand Crus from Vosne Romanee are beyond question. Buy as many as you can afford. — 7 years ago
La Tache of Switzerland! Iron fist in a velvet glove. — 8 years ago
Dinner at August New Orleans 3/1/18 Charlotte Bonney treat. Lowest priced bottles in long list including Le Tache at two grand. $40. Good balanced nose and palate with more earthy savory notes than primary fruit and medium finish. More interesting than expected. — 8 years ago
Labeled Old vines Muscat and it is part of the Classic bracket(6 to 10 of age wines used here) of fortified for the area
More powerful than the All Saints one I tried which was rare.
Chambers cellar door is an experience you shouldn't miss out on
They had probably 30/40 wines to taste
Bill Chambers 84yo there pretending he wouldn't know much and at the back empty bottles of La Tache, Yquem, Latour and Maurice O'Shea.
Amazing weekend in Rutherglen ✌️ — 8 years ago
What a ride! Make sure to give this 2-hours and let the magic begin. Muscular cherry + brown spice garden + mouth feel let you know how important this site is... tasted blind next to DRC La Tache 93 - at gwen restaurant during the "best bottle" dinner hosted by wineLA - The only problem is everyone thought this might be the La Tache - unbelievable power and concentration — 9 years ago

This was just stunning. One of those rare but complete Burgundy moments you dream about...
By a good head the best bottle of Burgundy I’ve had in a long time (from any producer, including a number of DRC La Tache etc.). A rare purity of fruit and intent - with a focused, peacock-tail like depth and length that just went on and on. A wonderful mix of redcurrents, raspberries, rhubarb, white pepper, and pomegranates, with a superb cut of scintillating acidity. The kind of wine that puts all the modern over-ripe Burgundies produced today into sharp focus. Why on Earth would any sane person aim for something other than this... — 7 years ago
No. 5 in the Vosne Romanee bracket. My notes said “This is La Tache “ which proved to be wrong. All tasted blind to reiterate. Intoxicating aromas of florals red fruit and a hint of sandalwood. Similar energy on the palate but medium weight with some austerity at the finish. Not as full bodied as some DRC Richebourgs I have had. JH said “effortless complexity “. — 8 years ago
This 1957 Richebourg has been in the cold and damp cellars of Maison Remoissonet, deep under the strets of Beaune, since the days it was first bottled. During its many years of cellaring, it was never subjected to movement or noticeable temperature fluctuations and is, therefore, a pristine example of the wine that was bottle decades ago. It was pulled from their underground cellars and released in March, 2010.
The wine was uncorked among several other beasts, including La Tache, aged grand crus and 04's from Leroy, outstanding efforts from Jean-Yves Bizot, etc. And it was beautiful. Sublime, in fact. A wine that deeply impresses both mind and sense. Full of elegance and outstanding pinot noir expression. — 9 years ago
VERY NICE!
Almost a Sancerre in taste. Will definitely order again — 9 years ago
Dense florals, bramble purple spiced fruit, tea and sweet ginger, perhaps there is a slight red fruited rusticity in the Echezeaux next to La Tache, but in its own light, there is a lovely and regal young perfume here supplanted by ample oak which wants to be integrated, but it is beginning to show its core. Love 2009’s. — 7 years ago
2010 Vintage. This reinvigorated my love of wine. Lovely licorice, tobacco and black fruit. This can probably age a longer, but it is ready to drink now. Enjoy!!! — 7 years ago
Strawberry and red berry. Very burgundian like with mineral and chalk. Light and silky but still have a little core of bitterness. Violet and sweatness and little spicy tone. They said it is design to be like la tache but havent try la tache so dunno. Talcum powder — 8 years ago
Still young but showing its pedigree. Strong and spicy red fruit. 1 row away from La Tache. — 8 years ago
Delicious as f**k. Fruity, dark. — 9 years ago
