Not much has changed with this delicious Nebbiolo. This time we decanted it for 2.5 hours while cooking up home made butter chicken. It’s a light to medium colour, reminiscent of natural strawberry or raspberry juice. Fresh smell of vanilla, strawberries, roses, flowers and hint of smokiness. Taste; starts of with fresh red fruits and vanilla. In the middle there is mild to medium leather chewiness. Also there is a definite subtle cigar box smell and some kind of chocolate. It finishes off with a fresh acidity that complements the beginning and middle. Overall, red fruit and rose Nebbiolo that has good complexity and fresh acidity that keeps you engaged. The butter chicken was great as well. — 8 years ago

Really good first impression. Would say that its a sangiovese with a fleur of Merlot and a fell something to supertoscana. — a year ago

If tasted blind I would have said entry level Chablis or a Macon Villages — 11 years ago

Brought to us as a gift from Bogota, Colombia (hence the Spanish labeling). First Tuscan Vermentino I’ve had. Pretty dense with lots of apple and pear without being fleshy. Citrus pith. Mineral backbone. No fennel.
Doing dry January so had to spit. — 2 years ago

Very complex with multiple flavour layers. More fuller bodied. Would be great with steak and other red meat. — 7 years ago

Opens with a smoky, complex layering of cherries with dark chocolate, figs, and carob. Tannins are smooth and carried by a moderate acidity to finish. — 7 months ago
