100% Vermentino
The nicest Vermentino I’ve had to date.
Ripe fruity body nicely balanced by acidity, sandy fennel notes. Not complex, but definitely quality. — 6 years ago
Besides its acidity, this Sardinian wine is an especially good pair with seafood because it carries the smell of the ocean. Salinity bursts forth with citrus in tow, both on the nose and the palate. It’s a savory wine with loads of character, and it’s a Vermentino from Sardegna. That’s really all you need to know.

Delicious and different. Oxidative, rich. Not a beginner wine. — 7 years ago
Yummy! Super Sardinian :) 50/50 Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cannonau - hmmm it's delicious, garnet color and medium body - pomegranate, plums, raisins and liquor cherries (Grenache higher alcohol) with ripe but medium+ tannins . It fruity, but with acidity "Chuck Norris" kick from Cabernet. — 9 years ago
Super floral on the nose, with strong notes of lemon peel and river rock. The palate is surprisingly lush/ripe and full bodied for a Vermentino - maybe the 14% ABV talking here. I also get a hint of spearmint and stone fruit in the midpalate. Bracing lively acidity throughout. Long finish for an Italian white. Awesome with goat cheese and a fig/olive tapenade. — 9 years ago
Never say no to free wine (Pt 2) — 4 years ago
From the federal wine Xmas crate. Drank after a long day with chicken Caesar and it totally hit the spot. I taste the apple/pear at the margin. — 6 years ago
Very light, a wee bit spicy on the tongue. Tannin-y. I like! — 6 years ago

Perhaps the tastiest vermentino I've had the pleasure to sip...complex and lovely rosemary on the close... heavenly with crab cakes with aioli — 8 years ago
Best natural wine i've had so far!! Menthol, unfiltered apple cider (juice), chamomille, delicate honeyed notes, — 9 years ago
I find the bouquet faint and hard to detect, but the taste is wonderfully complex: white peach, grapefruit, orange zest, lemon, and mineral. Very enjoyable. This would probably pair great with ceviche. — 9 years ago
A superbly-crafted multi-layered Vermentino with great intensity and striking character. Slightly bracing stone fruit, balanced by a second layer of subtle tropical notes and followed by very herbaceous finish. Mint, ginger and white pepper linger very persistently. Great tension of firm minerality and rounded mid palate. This is just about the finest expression of Vermentino I’ve had. Not the greatest value at $40, so I reserve my recommendations for serious lovers of this variety and of more esoteric Mediterranean whites. — 5 years ago
Luscious Cannonau with Duck Leg at Trullo. Second bottle was ordered. — 6 years ago
Delicious, vibrant, complex and juicy. Dettori tends to show some bottle variation, this was a good one. — 7 years ago
Good. Alcohol not well integrated today and tannins a bit tough. Very aromatic. No shortage of fruit. Age will improve — 7 years ago
This is singularly one of the most interesting delicious and spectacular wines I regularly drink. Beautiful complexity, nose, finish... simply amazing and every vintage works. Please find and drink this wine! — 9 years ago

After tasting the whole range from Argiolas you also realise how they got to this blend.
This is stunning, it absorbed 18 months of new oak easy.
Cannonau gives the freshness and the fruit with the carignan, the bovale donates the tannin and the floral shade and Malvasia Nera the aromatic.
Super velvety, fresh, complex and above all long.
It goes without saying this is only a baby. — 10 months ago
