Late Harvest Tokaji Furmint Blend 2018

My new favorite dessert wine. Not too sweet, drinks more like an oaky Chardonnay. Really loved this wine. — 8 months ago

5 Puttonyos Aszú Tokaji Furmint Blend 2017

Excellent example of a well-aged Tokaji. Medium amber color work loads of orange peel, apricot, lemon, honey, marmalade, pineapple, vanilla, dried apricot, and caramel. Sweet but superbly balanced with high acidity. Very long finish - outstanding quality. — 9 months ago

A lovely red blend of 60% Touriga Nacional, 20% Touriga Franca, 20% Tinta Roriz, red fruits, intense aromatics, fruity, and very smooth and silky, inviting mouthfeel, delicious texture and long finish! Never disappoints! — 9 months ago

Bodegas Franco-Españolas

Royal Reserva Rioja Tempranillo Blend

Probably the best bottle of this I’ve had. Perfectly matured classical Rioja. Black cherries, some caramel, no tannins left and piercing acidity. — 4 years ago

Quinta das Carvalhas 10 Year Old Tawny Port

White chocolate covered cherries, pralines, pecan pie. I think, I may like this better than TF10.

Tremendous. Earthy, funky, wild mushroom, forest floor. Also nose of overripe blue fruit and vanilla due to oaking. — 6 years ago

Norman Hardie

Unfiltered Prince Edward County Pinot Noir

Light ruby in color. It’s from Canada. And it smells of dry grasses and wild flowers. Or maybe those are just the smells stuck in my nose. It’s family time here at the lake house in Canada, with all the tension and buried hurts family time can entail. Enter this Pinot noir. The scent of violet, the taste of rose petals, tart cherries, and red currants. It’s new and familiar at the same time. Brings me right back to myself. Families are families, for better or for worse. Then wine, old grapes made in a new way, complex and fleeting, helps give you the long view and takes you right back home. — 6 years ago
