Straw green. Delicate herbs, lime and floral aromas on the enticing nose. Then clean fresh and juicy, with outstanding inner-mouth perfume to the ripe pomaceous orchard fruit flavors. Finishes long with a whisper of pear, minerals, sweet spices and noteworthy clarity. A knockout Friulano. (Ian D'Agata, Vinous, May 2018) — 7 years ago
Tasting great on day 3. Acidic on balance and good with food. Mature floral and earthy nose with medium palate and good finish. What a deal for seven bucks. — 8 years ago
Blackberry, cherry on the nose, berry and plum flavors on the palate, medium acidity, full body — 9 years ago
Wow. Deep, massively extracted Barbera. Wasn't expecting this. Aromatic, with bright acid though, and funk. Could be mind blowing in 5 years. 2011. And 15% abv. — 10 years ago
A great name in Friuli. Surprisingly plush Friulian Bordeaux blend; black currant, green peppercorn, warming spice w pleasant wooden structure. '08. — 10 years ago
— 5 years ago
Rich and creamy. Briny salinity, wild herbs, barnyard funk, clay, and yet with undertones of ripe tropical fruits. Moderate plus acidity and body. A unique Friuli Sauvignon Blanc. — 6 years ago
White flower. Salinity. Ripe apple, grapefruit pith. Med- body, med+ acid and a lingering finish. Terrifically aromatic. — 7 years ago

2013: I know the Collio blend got the #trebicchieri but I'd prefer to drink this Sauvignon ALL DAY! — 10 years ago
50% CS, 40% CF, 10% Merlot. This is certainly aiming for the highest pedigree of Bdx-blends, and getting there as well. Crushed white stones, serious minerality, wild fruits, plenty of spice elements and underlying acidity enabling flavours to retain freshness and length. Beautifully integrated all new oak here as well. It tastes... amazing, and it’s structure promises a very long and slow cellar evolution. Best from 2025-2040. This will rival ANY high end stuff available. — 6 years ago
I had no expectations going in for this one— I had never heard of the grower or the varietal (Schioppettino - “little rifle”) before. Spicy pepper and blackberry on the nose, it manages to maintain both of those whilst adding tannins and acids for a balanced, yet very interesting wine. It’s all the more interesting for being a part of the “Vini Veri” movement: no pesticides or GMOs, or alterations to fermentation. Well worth a try. — 7 years ago
This wine is such a pleasant surprise still so young but very well balanced with a long life ahead. Only Manferrari can make a wine like this in Friuli. — 7 years ago
Sehr gut; € 28,00 (Gargano) — 8 years ago
A distanza di un paio di anni dall'ultimo assaggio l'ho trovato ancora in ottima forma e senza quell'eccesso di alcool della volta scorsa. Un infante. — 8 years ago
