Tried the '90 recently, spoke of how amazing a producer of Californian Cabernet it is, but just needed a little more time, this '85 is well & truly on point, everything is in balance, there's fruit intensity yes, but the development/complexity/layers are really shining through, outstanding stuff. — 9 years ago
This wine is super light but still flavorful and pairs well with food but also so good on its own. It’s so good, it’s hard not to chug it when you crack a bottle on a warm sunny day. — 2 years ago
Very good fruit, could stand a bit more time to integrate the tannins. — 7 years ago
At £140-£180 this is a decadent treat that is drinking fabulously but will benefit from more ageing in 10-20 years 😉 At 13.5% ABV it’s not over powered like many 🇺🇸 wines but it feels over priced for what it is to me 😁

Took a flyer buying this from Benchmark. Bottle was in perfect condition, but sadly past its peak. Nose was outstanding - huge - chocolate, spice box. Had lost any acidity to balance the huge fruit. And at 17%, it kicked our ass. Would love to try a slightly younger rendition. — 8 months ago
