Impressive nose and made a big first impression. On the sweet side though. High octane, which was noticeable in the nose. — 7 years ago
Cherry, with a slightly dank, earthy, mushroom side. Acidity is right where I like it. Drinking so well! Recommended by my favorite somm ;) — 7 years ago
13.7% alc.
7 barrels made. $90/btl.
From AR note sheet:

Best CA rosé I’ve had this year. Quite delicious. Strawberry, pomelo, white nectarine, camomile. ~11% abv — 6 years ago
Never tried this, and wifey recoiled after her first sip, as did I. Nose displays beeswax and spring notes. Palate is oily and viscous, with minimal acidity. Huge dollop of oak complement big layers and complexity. Overtones of maple syrup combine with a quite pronounced oak treatment. I consider this quite unusual and quirky, in a very good way. Excellent example of chard. 94 pts, easily... — 6 years ago
Already a faded almost bricking color. I found the whole cluster/stemmy quality a little too dominant. The fruit is buried and the whole package came across slightly too herbal/lean/underripe to me. Texturally the wine had good lift and highly drinkable. — 7 years ago
This was very good, very much enjoyed — 7 years ago
By far my favorite HD bottle to date!! — 8 years ago
Whoa. Dark. Thick. Meaty. Pepper. Could use some time to soften these tannins, but that said, a wonderful wine. I haven't met a wine from Griffin's Lair that I didn't like and I'd say the same for Arnot-Roberts. — 9 years ago
Love it every time Arnot Roberts kills it! — 11 years ago

Had an 09 which was wonderfully rich and full of dark fruit....it still had pronounced tannins that softened w 1 hr breathing,...can certainly age longer. — 7 years ago
Light, small spice, almost an effervescence. Delicious and versatile — 8 years ago
