Bellwether

Riverland Bianco d'Alessano 2018

A rare and unusual grape variety native to Puglia in the heel of Italy. This is fermented on skins. Very textural with a great mouth feel. Ideal for warm climates - this is from the Riverland. Drought tolerant with thick skins. — 3 years ago

Ochre Nation Pty Ltd.

Cellarhand Series #2 Ricca Terra Farms Riverland Saperavi

The fruits of the Industry Wine Swap movement.
Conrad killing it at Ochre Nation working under the laid back mentors Brendo & Laura.
A native Georgian varietal, first time tasting. The acid is cleansing and the colour is like Dye as the name suggests.

Ricca Terra Vintners

Bullets Before Cannonballs Lagrein Blend 2017

Pours as vibrant as the label. A blend of pan-Mediterranean varieties, led by Tempranillo and Nero d’avola, that makes for a surprisingly generous, juicy expression of the whole zany zone, AND YET grown in the SA Riverlands. These bullets hit — 6 years ago

Chapter 3 : Pipe Dreamz Barmera Saperavi 2018

The most intense label I’ve seen on a wine, but unlike some pretenders, that intensity carries through everything: colour, nose and flavour concentration. Red frogs, lingonberry soda on opening, turning to a super fragrant middle eastern spice mix and lamb drippings and - this is intended as a compliment- burnt strawberries and rhubarb shrub (the vinegar cordial kind). Great structure and pitch perfect savoury finish, tightrope tannins. Was expecting frivolity, but this pipe blew me away. — 5 years ago

Kingston Estate

Limited Release Blanc de Noir 2008

Aged sir lie for 26 months, King Estate's 2008 Limited Edition Blanc De Noirs is finely wrought, with a delicate bead that gives lift to baked apples and orchard fruit notes, followed by buckwheat, dried marjoram, and whipped butter. Nice concentration on the palate, with eccentric rings of kumquat, sea foam, and walnut skins that impart a subtle and delicate bitterness as they meander to a long, protracted close. 13.5% ABV | Sample — 7 years ago
