So good. This Rosé is how I channel Rick Ross. Underripe strawberry and sour cherry flavors. Didn't get much on aroma. Dry and acidic for the summer party, sweeping the deck, club banger, or back alley with my black bottle boys. Rich forever. Forever compassionate. Don't call it medicinal, but you may be tempted. Ok, first thing- thank you Rick Banks for the gift of this bottle. Secondly, we have an affinity for this producer as Elizabeth and I shared a bottle of pinot from Hartford Court on the night we met. Now about the wine. Bold blue fruit aromatics with a hint of licorice. Mid palate shows some red fruits mainly raspberries. Soft tannins fading away to a sweet finish. Not many domestic pinots have life after 8 years, this one definitely does. Best to consume sooner than later, maybe over the next year or so. What a wonderful treat. Thanks my friend! — 7 years ago

2014 tasted rick ripe dark fruits with hint of pepper. Lay down for 3 years and could be lovely — 8 years ago
Highly perfumed. Reminiscint of a Spice Drawer. Medium to light bodied - more like a Pinot than a Shiraz regarding weight and texture. Savoury salty minerally plums on palate. Anyone who thinks Australia only makes blockbuster Shiraz should try this. Made by Rick Kinzbrunner, better known for his brilliant Chardonnays but this is different and moreish. Bravo. — 8 years ago
Very special wine. Drank with Maury and rick at lunch when asking for Ali's hand. Best white I've ever hand hands down. Was about $85. — 9 years ago

Named for the canyon Rick’s family farmed and where the Estate Vineyard is now located, established in 1981 by Rick Small and his wife, Darcey Fugman-Small. Woodward Canyon was the second winery in the Walla Walla Valley and the Smalls were instrumental in obtaining federal approval of the Walla Walla Valley appellation. Nice ripe stone fruit flavors, aged new French oak (20%) with pear and apple flavors, toasty oak, lively acidity, lingering ending with citrus and mineral notes. Very Nice! — 7 years ago
Fifth of the blind tasting for Father's Day weekend.
Deep ruby red. A bit dirty to start on the nose with some aged characteristics of forest floor and truffles. Dirtiness wore off with some air, opening up with dusty black fruits, sweet spices, cedar and a little bit of cigar box. Medium tannins (6/10) and medium plus to full bodied. Well rounded and integrated. Rick attack of dark fruits, sweet spices with some solid greenery and damp leaves, but not overpowering. Long finish. Drink till 2021.
This was enjoyed over a six over period and on day two. Just got better and better. — 8 years ago

Forge Cellars is an intriguing collaboration between Louis Barruol, proprietor of St. Cosme in Gigondas, wine grower Rick Rainey, and vintner Justin Boyette. Their 2014 'Classique' Pinot Noir is fine-boned and poised with floral, woodsy aromatics of decaying rose petals, hibiscus, underbrush, and sous. It's translucent quinacridone violet with lean, elegant curves underpinned by high-toned red berries, rose hips and crushed stone that tapirs to a lingering finish. 12.3% ABV | Sample — 9 years ago
