This wine needs to open up. At first I could taste smoke on the palate. But after a an hour the Pinot noir cherry flavor came through. I woul definitely try this again! β 6 years ago
12β Alexana Revana Vineyard Block 8 . The very best five barrels each year. 11 months in barrel, additional 14 months in bottle before release.
A complete waste if you donβt decant this for two hours. Gorgeous color. Nose- Dried flowers & hint of spearmint. Palate- Dark raspberries, dark stone fruits, spices, black pepper. Touch of cola.
Moderate acidity. This would benefit with a little more age. @Martin G Rivard Santa with another delivery to my door. Canβt thank you enough. Love you buddy! β 6 years ago

2006 drinking great. Black fruit with soft cocoa notes on the finish β 9 years ago
July 2020. GSM blend from Argentina. 67% Grenache, 14% Syrah, 19% MourvΓ¨dre. So good. Black fruit, long finish, complex. Not a wimpy wine to be sure. Iβve loved everything Iβve tried so far from Revana Family Vineyards β Alexana Pinot, and the Soleado from Corazon del Sol. β 4 years ago
Premiere Napa Valley bottling of Terrace Reserve. This Farella was opened with some really good company (07 Lokoya Veeder, 07 Verite Muse, 07 Revana), and IMO it was either 1 or 2. The nose of this one reveals some black and blue fruits. Entry of this wine has blackberry power, but then settles to more of a truffle and black tar in the middle. Gives way to herbal notes which gives this wine a very good complexity that really outdid the Lokoya and the Revana which were more about Napa fruit-forward power (was very similar in style to the Verite quite honestly). Finish has resolving tannins. Toasted oak finish although still rather tannic for its age. This wine is drinking very well right now, and probably is in the prime drinking window for the next 3-4 years. If you have these, drink 'em up or let them sit but not too long! β 6 years ago

With Bri and Kristen so yummy β 8 years ago
Great pinot varietal flavor but without the mouthfeel or extended finish of an elite wine. Still very good though. β 9 years ago
A black fruit explosion. A good complement to the Revana we drank earlier. Another 2006. β 4 years ago
Started by Dr. Madaiah Revana who met Lynn Penner-Ash in the spring 2005, ending his search in Willamette Valley, and naming the winery after his daughter. Aromas of berry fruits and sweet spice. On the palate blackberry and strawberry with cedar, cacao and black pepper. Fine tannins, nice mouthfeel, lingering ending with oak notes. β 7 years ago

Thomas Rivers Brown, master behind Schrader, Maybach, and Revana. Found him at an outfit in Yountville. Masculine style Prop red, but with a good breathe lets you experience his style without shelling out $250. β 7 years ago

Wow, I didnβt peg this for an Oregon Pinot Noir! I just tasted it blind and thought for sure it was a Bordeaux blend. π€·π»ββοΈ π«π· πΊπΈ
