Lighter bodied with lots of raspberry and cherry fruit. — 5 years ago
Not unpleasant but notes of paint on the nose, sweet palate, turns into pear and apricot over a long finish. Acidity provides a nice balance. — 6 years ago
Amazing, best White of the summer for me! — 8 years ago
Yet another Racer IPA. I'm running out of stuff to say... — 9 years ago
Poppy, raspberry and cranberry. Handles a bit of chill well — 5 years ago
Well, this is the first bottle I’ve opened since the beginning of COVID-19 social distancing and I’m really happy it didn’t disappoint. Really nice light body and acid, honeysuckle, stone fruit and...hay? I’m into it. — 5 years ago
I love this wine. A little strong on the finish, but really what I think of when I think of Pinot Noir. — 5 years ago
Unfiltered and juicy, lots of acid. Full voltage. — 6 years ago
Milan Nestarec Youngster Pinot Grigio 2017. Such an interesting wine! A lot of lime (as the label might convey), orange, roundness but still light bodied. A lot of acidity and minerality. Tastes like limestone and key west via a czech’s interpretation. — 7 years ago
One of the best dark beers i have ever met. — 8 years ago
A cheery mix of coconut, unripe pineapple, and tannins. I love this Monterey wine. It reminds me of the old days, of a college party with music, booze, frat guys, and Malibu Rum. — 8 years ago
2015. Red to blue fruits, leather, subtle acid and not-so-subtle oak come together after 3-4 hours of decanting. Young and more oak than I’d like but concentration of high-quality fruit and evident complexity should make this a knockout in 2-4 years. Ferragamo’s merlot/cab/syrah super-Tuscan project. $40 at Vine Republic. — 5 years ago
Natural wine blend of Riesling Neuberger and Pinot Gries from Moravia. Delicious and intense. Balanced fruit and acidity. Good finish. — 5 years ago
Seriously, Malibu. Do you have to use an inch of wax to seal every bottle? You're really making me work for this one. Ripe black cherry and baking spice entices the nose. Young bright and fun on the palate. It's definitely equipped for aging across the decade. Just have a machete handy to bust through that wax. Paired tonight's offering with a massive rare tomahawk steak. Nom nom. — 7 years ago
Interesting Czech wine. Great surprise and good for discussion. Very light, almost like a white wine. Fruity. Hint of sweetness, low/no tanin — 7 years ago
Super interesting. Part of a small, natural wine seminar wth Abe Schoener. Crystal clear but orange and earthy with an ever so slight yeasty quality to it. — 8 years ago
K. Syrah
2012. Very good Aglianico. Big and concentrated and surprisingly still drinking young (took 2-3 hours to open up). Dark cherry, leather, minerals/iron underneath still-firm tannins. Plenty of time left. $40 at Vine Republic. — 4 years ago
