Roederer Estate and Scharffenberger both call Anderson Valley home and together yield some of California’s most consistently delicious and affordable sparkling wines. Of the couple, Scharffenberger vinifies rounder, more lush wines. Flavors of ripe pear skin, white rose, and baked apple find their footing against a backdrop of yeast, cheese rind, and patisserie in the image of Champagne. The perfect wedding reception wine or Tuesday night sparkler for its tremendous quality to cost ratio. — 8 years ago

Brick red in colour with soft tannins and notes of prune and leather. Great quality to price ratio for a 17 year old Bordeaux. 91 — 9 years ago
Golden straw color. Aromas of pear and citrus on the nose. Medium acidity. Easy drinking white. Good quality to price ratio. — 9 years ago
I enjoyed the 2014 more that the 2015. But for the price, you can't go wrong. That's why it gets the score. Price to value ratio. 😄 Great praise for the wines of Mt Etna. — 10 years ago
Mourvedre, Lemberger, Syrah and Viognier. Delicious, quaffable, with a backbone structured enough to set next to creamy risottos, fettuccines, or filet mignon. Bright yet satisfyingly dry on the finish.

Very drinkable for a young OR Pinot Noir. Soft, mellow tannins match harmoniously with notes of ripe black cherries, dusty leaves, and dried mushrooms. Rustic, elegant expression with a strong sense of place. Loved the wines I’ve tried so far from Eola-Amity Hills and this one is no exception. A great wine from Anthony King, perfect for NYE. — 7 years ago
Absolutely fantastic. This is a great example of a white wine that needs a few years in the cellar before it really sings. Easily compares with the grenache blancs of Kris Curran, who is the other great producer of this varietal in California. And given the price point of Anthony Yount’s wines - no better quality/price ratio anywhere for a rhone-esque white. Run - don’t walk - to his website (Kinero Cellars). Fantastic. — 8 years ago

Beats many if not most Chianti Classico hands down. We did a blind tasting of 11 2015 Tuscan wines, 10 well know Chianti Classicos and this came out in front. Quality price ratio is fantastic. — 9 years ago
Delish! Refreshing. There is a small fruitiness to dryness ratio but heavier on the fruity. Very good entertaining wine. I would drink this again. — 9 years ago
Green gold in the glass... showing its age a bit more than I anticipated. But silky smooth and round in the mouth. Ripe red apple and soft, sweet pear notes, wonderfully balanced acid/ fruit ratio. Long finish with a slight smoky note. So much more expressive and fun than any of the larger houses. Time after time, when it comes to Champagne, smaller is always better. — 9 years ago
Tasted a 2013 bottle. Nice, balanced nose, and pleasant body with earthy tones. Oaky, light peppery finish. Great qualité-prix ratio. Will likely buy and share a case. — 10 years ago
Excellent price-quality ratio! Delicious, sweet and fresh at the same time. Try with Asian food for example. Matches perfectly with Brie or Camembert. — 7 years ago

Rating on quality/price ratio. Tastes like a northern burgundy mixed with a northern Rhône. cherry cola, smoked meat, hard cheese, olive brine. 100% my style, but not for everyone. I could drink this everyday. — 9 years ago
Very nice tannin to fruit (raspberry, blackberry) ratio, nice dark magenta almost see through, medium body — 9 years ago
