The most fantastic DRC to date! This is legendary, very, very gorgeous, fresh cut lilacs, pure pinot noir perfume, forest floor, acorn, rose essence, hibiscus flower...

I was so nervous about proposing recently that I forgot my two birthyear wines I had saved for almost a year. Happy Belated to ME! Still celebrating the engagement too. A lot to celebrate! To those who are wondering if 86s are approachable yet, they are. This wine had been solid as a rock forever, but today it was seamless. Dank and pretty, intense cassis and black currant and blackberry reduction. Somehow fresh cut floral notes like lavender and cherry blossom. Fresh earth tone to it with an endless iron steel like mineral finish. Complimented by a rich wood tone. Perfectly softened tannins. This bottle was a milestone for me. — 9 years ago

Jason surprised me with this excellent bottle of Spanish wine this week end. It is very flavorful! — 12 years ago
As far as big houses go, always been a fan of the special cuvée. This is a cut above - lots and lots of biscuit and toast, but very well integrated, bit of dried apricot and a slight tinge of bitter oxidation rounding out this one - fantastic sparkler. — 10 years ago
A true treat. Old. No effervescence. But has some cut and spine still. Long finish. A St. Francis hotel liquor store sticker on it. Drinking history. — 10 years ago
Shocked this opened up after only an hour in decanter. A baby but a great bottle. A great mix of cut, length and weight. #raveneau #clos #whiteburgundy — 11 years ago
This is a new label and different fruit sources than used to use a step up — 11 years ago

Dark and full bodied, this wine brings on the darkness fruits: black plumb, dark cherry, black currant. It has relatively high acidity so should pair well with oily dishes. — 9 years ago
