Vivacity + stems + sprinkle of natty + channeling Prieure Roch and we get awesome wine! This is burgundy worth buying! — 6 years ago
Wicked wine, but this is no rosé by convention. So dark, and the initial reduction got me thinking of Prieure Roch's Le Cloud. Give it time and it rewards with juicy strawberries... wild strawberries, roses, herbs, pepper, and rocky goodness. Surprising for an 11'. One for the L'Angalore Tavel lover I reckon. Burgundian for sure 😜 — 7 years ago
Oxidative nose gives way to a wine of elegance and finesse with some tannins of the finish . Tasted at Atmosphere in Bourget Du Lac France . — 7 years ago
Vino bianco tannico, come piace a me, più grezzo ma okay! Dopo un po’ nel bicchiere diventa più pulito e mieloso. Vino bianco top !! — 4 years ago
Prieure Saint-Hippolyte - Languedoc - Blanc
50% Grenache Blanc, 25% Viognier, 25% Vermentino
Nice fresh fruit, dry, Peach, pear, floral, wax, stones.
Not the biggest, baddest, longest aging wine ever, but... a very well made Languedoc Blanc to be enjoyed now, under $15.
Guessing 11-12.5% ABV (label range 11-14), went nicely with an omelette dinner.

Very vegetal on the nose, cool nose. Color very pale in the glass. In time it opens up and some raspberries begin to show. Very similar in characteristic to the vougeraie clos du prieure 2013 drank a couple of days ago. Surprised to read that this producer destems all fruits. I would have called the reverse smelling the wine. — 5 years ago

Beautiful nose of cherries. Very nice acidity with light tannins — 7 years ago
I was enjoying this too much so forgot to jot down notes. Thought it was a Prieure Roch NSG VV! Friend thinks this could be the second coming of the old William Seylem — 7 years ago
2018 vintage. Another delicious second wine in this vintage. From the small Grand Cru Classé Le Prieuré — 4 years ago
From terrific wine maker Maggie Harrison, a Rosé like no other. It drinks almost like a natural red Burgundy. It reminded me of Prieure Roch Le Cloud or Sylvain Pataille Marsannay. Good depth to it and nicely textured showing a cool minerality, balanced acidity, cherry bubblegum, mandarin orange and a touch of damp earth and Asian spice. I had it left out and off of ice and treated it like a red. Seemed to be the right move as it becomes more expressive the less cold it is. Super unique wine and happy to have finally tried it! Great stuff. — 5 years ago
I guess I should probably add this now, since I brought it up in the Featured User section. I think this would be a tough wine for some to like, mainly due to reduction and the high whole bunch used, but I thought it was brilliant. Fine and concentrated. I like the reduction on this - very Mersault-like according to AA. Floral perfume, spice, bunch aromatics, pomegranate. Palate's very light yet intense. Juicy red fruit, flinty reduction, earthy mineral undertones, hints of green herbs and tea. Lengthy and focused. A very sexy pino!
NB: A generous open by CW. The 2010 Roch's have been quite hard to come by for me. Years ago, the 2010 Pinoterie, a cuvee made from grand and 1er cru berries that fell off the sorting table due to their ripeness, totally blew me away. Till this day, I've been trying to find another bottle, so it's nice to be able to see another wine from the vintage in recent times. According to CW, Prieure Roch totally nailed 2010 and so far, I tend to agree. The domaine's one of those producers where vintage variation's huge - don't get me started on the 11's 🤮 — 6 years ago
Quite perfumed, airy and ethereal. Reminded me of Domaine de la Cote and Prieure Roch. That biodynamic nose from Premeaux. Pretty floral notes with bright cherries and raspberries. I was surprised when the wine was revealed. Unlike any Heitz Lochardet I've had so far. — 7 years ago
