Bitter, hoppy, flavored of lemon and soft spice. Sad this brewery is closing. — 10 years ago
Terrible label, pretty tasty beer. Bit sweet, yeasty. Made with honey and cherries which is pretty much it. Seriously though, how f'n creepy can they make that elf. — 10 years ago
Really good beer. Slightly hoppy and lots of flavor. — 10 years ago
Pretty light, very drinkable Pale Ale. The main flavor is hops, but this would be a great easy-drinking beer on a warm day. — 10 years ago
I prefer regular Sculpin, but it's still a pretty stellar beer — 10 years ago
A true classic, first ever IPA brewed in San Diego, my all time favorite place for IPA's holds up pretty well after 20 plus years, nice citrus and tropical notes, less of course than current IPA's, but overall solid IPA, and as I said it is a classic, if you in SD, and are a beer Geek, it is a must to try, esp on tap, have a growler filled up right now, excellent brew — 10 years ago
Glad I can add this to a wine app. Im pretty sure what beer i love just not sure what other wines my wife will love. I need to learn what wine I love. — 10 years ago
Holy crap. Great. I swear I'm not liking this beer so much, because of the label--though it is quite rad. Expressive nose that leads you to believe it will taste sour. It does. Sour enough, but not so sour that makes you gleek. Flavors of black currant, blueberry, and beer starts gaining complexity as it warms to room temp.
Tasting like Chinon, of all things. With notes of: Horse blanket, hay, blue and red berry fruit, a healthy dose of brettanomyces, along with a velvety mouthfeel, like Merlot and a tad creamy.
Gorgeous, rich purple color with a crema-like foam on top.
Smelling the empty glass: oak and tobacco. Wow. — 10 years ago
A delicious IPA - probably the hoppiest European IPA I've tasted. Wish I'd bought more while in Brussels. Also included Citra hops like the high-quality Pale Ale Citra from Brouwerij de Molen. — 10 years ago
Knee Deep Lupulin River. Huge passion fruit nose that carries through with pine and just enough malt to balance things. Great beer. — 10 years ago
This beer promises a lot up front in terms of nose and initial flavor that it ultimately fails to deliver. Fresh rubber, cherries, metallic bitterness. It just needs more body and some sweetness to balance things. It's not a $24 a bottle beer. Still glad I had it. — 10 years ago
Pretty good, but definitely not the greatest beer I've had. Had it next to Pliny the Younger, and it held its own — 9 years ago
Coffee tar reduction, dark brown sugar, mocha and Nutella note. Pretty nose belies a dark eel of a beer that slithers into a pipe tobacco shadow with vanilla, dark toast, brittle and smoke. Rounds out with broiled beet. — 9 years ago
Pretty good for a pumpkin beer. Tastes like Halloween.... Kinda. — 10 years ago
This beer was REALLY light and pretty interesting/delicious. At 3.6%ABV, I could drink this all afternoon. — 10 years ago
If you're a dark chocolate lover, then this beer is for you. Bittersweet chocolate flavor is almost heavy and overpowering, but surprisingly it works and it's pretty damn good. One of few things from Texas I like. — 10 years ago
My heart still belongs to the Peeper, but this is pretty damn good. — 10 years ago

Pretty much flawless. It's between this and the St. Bernardus ABT 12 as the greatest readily available Belgian beer on the planet. — 9 years ago
