Such a pleasant surprise. Very deep ok color (BlackBerry). Chocolate and dark plum with fresh leaves and slight funk on nose. Palate is Super jammy yet still restrained in terms of fruit. Started meh, and took a good long time to open up, but after an hour and a half in the decanter it started to bloom. Violet and floral aromas, dried fruits, prunes, plums, cherries, leather, dried meats, and more. Rounded, super fine tannins, and a long finish. Really good. — 7 years ago
