Colli senesi Chianti is probably the most underrated old world style wine on the planet. The nose is bacon fat, mixed with sopressata. The palate is smooth and drinkable. Perfect food pairing. The nose is the incredible part though. Wow. — 8 years ago

The Gattavecchi family has been making wine in Montepulciano since the1950s, with the purchase of the Poggio alla Sala estate. Ruby with aromas of red berry, herb and floral notes. On the palate tart cherry and raspberry with spice and earthy herb notes. Firm tannins on medium finish ending with some earthy oak. Good now and over next 1-2 years. — 4 years ago

This is a delicious Sangiovese from Montepulciano, Tuscany. Powerful, yet elegant. Well balanced with a great mouthfeel.
Feels like a 20 year old Right Bank Bordeaux. Drinking this with the wine maker, makes the experience even better.
Still drinking beautifully, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years.
This 11 year old is good right out of the bottle, and better after 30 minutes in the glass.
Good by itself or with food. Paired beautifully with the tagliatelle pasta with wild boar ragu.
