Fruit on the nose. Good pre-dinner wine! Great with cheese and friends!! — 5 years ago
Juicy, easy drinking. Made for an afternoon with a bread stick and soft gooey cheese. — 7 years ago
Award winning wine recently and it shows. I’d be happy to open a bottle of this a couple time a month for a fun and hearty meal. Great balance of fruit, acidity and texture and very accessible from the start. #wheninparis ?? — 7 years ago
Leather, raspberry, cacao, roasted coffee beans and underbrush. Wave after wave, this keeps getting more impressive. At the beginning of its drinking window. Barbera is such a great grape! Will keep for at least 5 years to come. One of the best qpr’s I’ve tasted so far. — 4 years ago
Poderi garona tritone rosso
Exactly the kind of wine people erroneously pass up because it is inexpensive and assumedly not great. I’m having sausage and peppers tonight. And I passed over 2 cases of Barolo to drink this with my s&p .
Nose is pretty and slight.
Palate is delicious fruit. Great acidity. Grapy. So awesome.
Bought from fass selections.

Not the best wine you’ll ever have but for the money it is exceptional — 4 years ago
Tonight we are enjoying some wine from the island of Sicily. A 2012 Puritani Etna Rosso from Azienda Valenti Vini 🍷 The #nerellomascalese grapes from this bottle were planted in 2004. As a literature lover I must share th story behind the bottle's name: 'The father-son team of Giovanni and Alessandro Valenti have embarked upon
the journey to produce the very best
wines from their homeland of Mount Etna
in Sicily. Being avid lovers of literature and
music, the names of their wines reflect
this passion. Enrico IV, Henry IV (Enrico
IV) is an Italian play by Luigi Pirandello;
Puritani – I puritani (The Puritans) is an
opera in three acts by Vincenzo Bellini;
Norma is an opera in two acts by
Vincenzo Bellini. Poesia is Poetry in Italian.' Cheers to Italy! 🇮🇹 — 5 years ago
The 2014 Azelia is a bit of a departure from the fantastic 2013 version. While still very high quality, this didn’t have quite the power and complexity, nor was it as fun. Dark cherry fruit and tar with a bit of a burnt rubber thing that took me a bit by surprise. Tannic. On its own, this may have shown better but the 2005 Giovanni Rosso “Cerretta” that we drank just before was sensational. Drink now or through 2024. — 7 years ago

Threw a few of these in the cellar just to see what would happen. Finally coming into its own in Hour 2. Dark blue black fruits, nice acidity, balanced. Really nice. Great for Sunday pasta and red sauce. — 3 years ago
