This is a solid quaffable #pinotage at an affordable price. I’ve blind tasted it about three times in flights with other reds from around the world and it has performed well. #southafricanwine #southafrica — 5 years ago

A surprisingly great red - as others have said. A very drinkable wine, but of smokiness to it, bold and quite red fruity. — 7 years ago
Delicious and very easy to drink. Smooth and full bodied — 8 years ago
Tuhti ja tummasävyinen tuoksu. Herukkaa, savua ja mustetta. Maku on paksu ja suunmyötäinen, täynnä tummaa marjaa, tervaa ja kevyesti tammea. — 9 years ago
One of the best wines I've ever had. Flawless. Perfect in every way. Everything a rich South African pinotage should be. — 11 years ago
One of my favorites and under $13 — 12 years ago

Fabulously surprising! This wine is one of those warm robust bear humans who wraps you in a hug that doesn’t smother you, it frees you. It’s fresh. Oodles of dark berries and plums plus vanilla and a very herbal earthy thing and something like leather. So very very good. — 5 years ago
One of my all time favourites. Good with any red meat. — 6 years ago

Light aroma, blackberry, medium finish — 11 years ago
Very lush and superb! — 12 years ago
Direct from SA. Delightful. Takes me back to the tasting rooms. Oaky, pepper, tobacco nose, deep blackcurrant, blackberries, peppery undertones and warmth, oaky in the mouth, lovely finish for something as light as a Pinotage. Really rate it. — 4 years ago
Grilled cherry, Asian dried beef, balanced- mouth drying tannins. — 5 years ago
When you can find a non- Bretty South African wine, savor it fully, this terroir is multifaceted.
One of my favorite stories grapes - The Pinotage - a cross between Pinot Noir and Cinsault, created around 100 years ago,so that SAfrica could have a grape varietal of their own.
A nose of elegant pipe tobacco, bright cherry, gooseberry and light tannin. A nice Pinotage for the uninitiated.

Lots of raspberry, blackberry, smokey. Could stand up to meat, heavier meals. 2016 — 6 years ago

I have a good story to go with this wine. So my brother is working at the Embassy in Nairobi right now. I sent him a picture of some wines I bought including this one. He sent me a picture back and he had the same wine. Good wine minds think alike!! This wine is excellent! Very smooth, dark fruit, a little earthy at first, 14.5% alcoholic content. Will enjoy by the pool this evening with my book! Cheers! — 4 years ago
