Direct from SA. Delightful. Takes me back to the tasting rooms. Oaky, pepper, tobacco nose, deep blackcurrant, blackberries, peppery undertones and warmth, oaky in the mouth, lovely finish for something as light as a Pinotage. Really rate it. — 4 years ago

Fabulously surprising! This wine is one of those warm robust bear humans who wraps you in a hug that doesn’t smother you, it frees you. It’s fresh. Oodles of dark berries and plums plus vanilla and a very herbal earthy thing and something like leather. So very very good. — 5 years ago

When you can find a non- Bretty South African wine, savor it fully, this terroir is multifaceted.
One of my favorite stories grapes - The Pinotage - a cross between Pinot Noir and Cinsault, created around 100 years ago,so that SAfrica could have a grape varietal of their own.
A nose of elegant pipe tobacco, bright cherry, gooseberry and light tannin. A nice Pinotage for the uninitiated.
