This is a riper style than is normal for Craiglee which is usually quite cold climate peppery. This is full bodied showing blackberry, spice, liquorice and some black pepper. Always a reliable top quality Shiraz. The vineyard is just to the north of Melbourneβs Tullamarine Airport in cool climate Macedon. Could see out the 2020s in the Cellar. β 9 months ago
Good mid palate weight and purity. Red sweet raspberries get swamped in grippy acid and savoury notes. excellent balance. Good but not great p/q β 4 years ago
A good Pinot.

A very nice, cool climate, reductive Chardonnay
Toasted sesame & cool mint on the nose. Beautiful mouthfeel, balanced, elegant with juicy acidity. The yellow stone fruit restrained but of high purity. Nice depth here.
This is so drinkable and quite lovely while showing some hints of seriousness. β 7 months ago
This wine was lost in my cellar for a couple of years until I found it a few days ago. As a 2016 I probably would have drunk this a year or two ago. Now at 9 years of age it is a wonderful Chardonnay with more complexity and intensity. More on the citric than stone fruit side. A good example of mature Yarra Valley Chardonnay. β 9 months ago

In the zone! Delicious! β 4 years ago
V17. Pretty good... opaque color. Smokey nose. Substantial black cherry fruit. Black pepper, chocolate and earthy finish. Nicely balanced . β 5 years ago
Awesome entry level Pinot. Tremendous value. Great uncomplicated Pinot from a ripping Yarra Valley vintage. β 7 years ago
I have previous Delectable notes. Crimson, becoming tawny, garnet on the edges. A medium + weight palate and medium + intensity. Sweet red fruits (strawberry). The next night quite a full bodied Pinot. Tannins are a little coarse. 99 points from James Halliday and his Pinot Noir of the year in 2017. I have 2 bottles left - next in a year. I ended up having the 2nd last one 26 weeks later on 9/11/25. Have the last one in late 2026 or early 2027. β 7 months ago
My last bottle of the 2015 Bindi Original Vineyard Pinot. Pale in colour - almost transparent. More savoury, mulchy, Sous Bois than the tasting note in 2021 but it is red fruited with raspberry notes. Fine tannins. I donβt buy much wine these days but I do try to buy Bindi most years. I just received a mixed 6 and put away a couple of bottles of the 2023 Original Vineyard Pinot into the cellar. β 8 months ago
Itβs been a while between Curly pinots. Always a joy to open one, with fond memories attached along with the pleasure of the wine itself. Despite five years from vintage, this is still young and stern but elegant. Clear lines and structure, a spicy, cedary top note amongst red fruit and firm but soft tannins. Clean, Iβd call it, plus whole bunch characters. Quality pinot undoubtedly, that should improve even more. β 3 years ago
π·ββ just lovely. Bought from the cellar door β 5 years ago
On the improve perhaps? Really lovely. Acid ingrained with other phenolic and textural elements. Fine yet generous in flavour. Ripe stone fruit and the kernel. First class. ππ½ππ½ππ½ β 6 years ago

Very dark Ruby in colour - impenetrable. Red fruits, dried herbs, plum and plum skins - evidence of whole bunch in the ferment ( 70% apparently). Lovely balance, fruit quality and complexity, all at only 6 years of age. An overall sweetness on the palate which overrides the savoury characters. Being from Geelong itβs interesting to compare with the Yarra Valley and Mornington Pinots on the opposite (eastern) side of Port Phillip Bay - same latitude - this seems more succulent although all 3 districts are excellent for Pinot Noir. This is the first of 5 bottles - the drinking window will go another 6 years into the 2030s. This is an exceptional Australian Pinot. β 5 months ago
