Dark spices: black pepper, cloves, and allspice. Tahitian vanilla. Nice smooth finish. — 8 years ago
GW tasting 12/13/16. $630. Nose that is well balanced with striking nuttiness and spices. Palate is balanced and savory and finish is long and complex. Be good with cigars. Last of classic collection. — 9 years ago
An incredible cognac with a unique aging process. — 10 years ago
This is the best Cognac I have ever had. The end of a great bottle. Only 198 bottles made. Started with the 1922 vintage and topped up annually until August of 2013. Then bottled unfiltered. Rich, unctuous. Caramel, orange peel. Amazing depth and a several minute finish. Just incredible. — 6 years ago
Very interesting desert wine — 7 years ago
Oh, snap! This is an exquisite example of GM. A lovely sipper after our meal. Rich yet so well balanced. The orange is perfectly integrated. — 8 years ago
Went to a Pierre Fernrand tasting, sampled sa 72' vintage and some of their other cognacs but they're one the more reasonable priced cognacs compared to the big name brands like Hennessy. Good stuff. — 9 years ago

Had this in a Sazerac; smooth, maple syrup on the nose, made the Sazerac smoother than the rye whiskey version. — 7 years ago
First taste of Cognac, did not disappoint. Very warm and great to wind down after a busy day. — 8 years ago
This...this is cognac. — 9 years ago
Base vintage 1929 with the balance being slightly younger; paired with cigars and friends. Not a cognac guy, but this is such stuff as dreams are made. — 9 years ago
REALLY feeling the French/Mexican theme at Madrina in Dallas, mostly cause of the equally insane agave & brandy selections. — 10 years ago
Grapefruit, alkaline, cedar, white pepper, jalapeños, toffee — 10 years ago

Fascinating wine. So much going on. Super vinous, even cidery. Gold in the glass, a little oxidative, looong finish. Some subtle green flavors, a leafy wild herbal thing. Deep, tooth tingling acid, but mature, white balsamic-type acid. Yeasty but long-fermented sourdough type yeasty. Madeleines and lemon marmelade. Enjoy this with rich food, like roast game bird. Or Cheetos. We paired it with Cheetos. Deg sept 2019. — 6 years ago
