The 2nd wine in the Gevrey Chambertin 2016 Grand Cru lineup tasted blind. My original notes said some whole bunch in evidence , which later was partly right when the identity was revealed. Perrot Minot use whole berry maceration but the grapes are de stemmed. Red fruits predominate on the rich and powerful palate. Quite savoury (I thought coming from the stems) with medium tannins. I have little experience with this producer but Roscoe from Prince is a huge fan. Saying the structure and power comes from tiny yields, old vines and thick skins. — 5 years ago
Not overly complex but remarkably enjoyable. Red fruit, long finish, a little woody but more in a earthy forest floor kind of way than in an oaky way. Very approachable (in a good way) — 6 years ago
Vattenkrasse, sötlakrits och söta bär. Väldigt fräsch, finkornig tannin och något bakåtlutad syra. — 7 years ago
Closed on the nose. In the mouth a slow, smooth explosion of fruits and herbs. Subtle. — 7 years ago

Faded a bit fast but was remarkably powerful yet ethereal out of the gate — 6 years ago
Delectable - this is the Perrot Minot Charmes Chambertin as per the photo. The 3rd of the 9 Grand Crus from Gevrey we tasted. Colour of mid Ruby. Hint of boot polish on the nose. Some whole bunch astringent notes on the palate. Barely medium bodied with good acid. A little more mid palate flesh would not go astray. I usually find Charmes a little on the lighter side but sometimes it surprises. — 6 years ago

Still young but very lean and clean... Nice acidity with notes of baked apple and lemon curd... Finish just stays with you... Good value! — 9 years ago
