A vibrant, fruity, easy drinking light red. Got high acidity and red fruits (raspberry) note. Love the slight bubbly feeling this wine brings to both sides of the tongue. — 9 years ago
Simple and easy everyday wine without feeling cheap. — 9 years ago
Absolutely terrific wine. Bound to uplift even the most doomy-gloomy mood. As such, it pairs well with political discourse and the prospect of "President Trump." Go ahead, drink those sorrows away. You deserve it.
Beautiful, shimmering golden color. I believe it's actually already deepening with age. (2012 vintage consumed in mid-2016)
On the nose, apricot fruit and unrefined honey dominate but is accompanied with a menagerie of rare and precious aromatics. The result is a feeling of having something truly exotic in your glass. This is a world-class wine for which there could never be any argument over its worthiness. You will be taken by this wine and there's really no way to over-hype it and set the expectation bar too high because this wine will meet it every time.
As we dig in deeper past the obvious top notes, we discover a treasure chest filled with persimmon, sandalwood, white flower, and vanilla bean.
Upon first entry in the mouth you are met with a zippy liveliness but then that melts gently across your palate to really give you a fine, pervasive coating that excites the taste buds in every corner of your mouth. This is a POWERHOUSE of assertive flavor. This wine will stage a veritable coup d'etat upon your complacent palate. There will be an ouster of your resident ennui. No incumbent sense of boredom will be safe from this wave of populist essence. There will be a complete and total transition of power in the halls of your mind's parliament leading to a peaceful but efficacious revolution. With your personal Congress in shambles, this fresh new confederacy shall draft a Constitution that will usher in a new era of utopian cooperation and transcendental civic euphoria!
Sorry, maybe for a little carried away there. For reals though. Drink this wine when you're feeling down and feel the BURN! Well, not really - because the alcohol is really well-integrated. ;) — 9 years ago
Easy drinking solid Pinot. This wine just gives you that good feeling. It's not overly dry but not really sweet either, just good. — 10 years ago
Super easy drinking. Post-champagne on the last day in Paris. Listening to some Japanese jazz and feeling very perfectly cliché. — 8 years ago
I'm pretty sure I paid $18.99 or $21.99 for this private label Cab at K&L Wine Merchants. If you are not buying this wine by the 1/2 case or case...then, holding it for 4-5+ years, you are missing a great QPR opportunity. It's a great everyday wine and at it's price and it doubles as a quality wine to serve and impress friends on the weekend. This is a $50+ Napa Cabernet tonight. The details on Kalinda is K&L buys juice from quality producers or has a quality producer make wine for them under their private label. It's a wine to buy year in and out! When you have it 5+ years later, you'll sip it with a smile thinking how good it is and feeling even better about how little it cost you. It's easy to pay a lot of $ for a good wine. The real trick is to find an affordable quality wine that's worth 2-3 times what you paid for it. A bit of 411 on K&L. The staff at K&L as a whole are amongst the best in the country, if not the best. They experience very little turnover and they been doing wine & spirits for around 40 years. They have awesome relationships with all the wine regions and are greatly respected by producers and vendors alike. They have been traveling to all the major wine regions multiple times a year for a very long time. Good knowledgeable people who are very personable & accessible. — 8 years ago
Delicious! Snappy, bright and crisp. Love the fine bubbles. Perfect for drinking on a sunny day and feeling refreshed. Very light and easy to drink. — 9 years ago
Color of burgundy with haze. Nose of nice barrel fragrance, round alcohol, raisin, ripe plum, dried figs, and a bit salty note. Taste of velvet, round structure, with smoky, woody, tobacco leaf, and herby note. Low tannins, subtle sweetness like dried fruit, and well polished light acidity mix well to produce a feeling of medium strength wine with good complexity. Very easy to drink and enjoy. Aftertaste is a bit missing with a bit of bittersweet zest and spice. All edges are polished off, and enjoy it at her peak now. Having 2nd bottle 3 months later. Again very enjoyable! — 9 years ago

Deep, smooth, noble. Can't get rid of feeling my glass was just poured from clay jug. Behind wet clay notes one can easy determine ripe plum, black currant and cumin. Very well balanced. Definitely best from Spain I ever had — 9 years ago
Very good, light, full bodied, fruity wine. Easy to drink. Full flavor. No intense, harsh alcohol feeling. Different from the dark spicy quality that I typically enjoy. Will buy again! — 9 years ago
Much more delicious than I dared imagine, with a mid-palate buzzing with unexpected rich notes of chamomile & a feeling of deep shade on a sunny day, what a killer quaff at an easy price! — 10 years ago
This is a really fun red blend. Silky smooth. Nice wet feeling in the mouth. Plumbs, cherry with an easy finish and a blast of simple tannin on the tongue. — 11 years ago

Nice purple color with a touch of ruby. Nose is quite special. Nose of sugarplum with seasoning spice, oyster mushrooms, some herbs, and a bit hotness. Taste is very smooth with warmth, and quite chewy. Some milky chocolate feeling with subtle cherry note, and some tobacco leaves. And again some wet mushrooms note. Aftertaste of some tasting note with some spices and a tiny amount of tannins. Very easy to drink and nothing to complain. Decent wine indeed. — 8 years ago
